2800-3200 is ideal, although everything above 2500 is good Agree completely with this post. Current climate at 2700 hours is great but I would probably prefer slightly more (mainly in the wet season).

About 38~43%(1,700~1,930 hours) possible sunshine. Averages vary from 2.5 hours in December to 7 hours in July. Changed my vote to 1900~2200 hours. 0.5~1.0 additional sunshine hour each day. Why so little sun?

50-65% every month, to ensure plenty of sun but changeable weather. That would mean around 2500.
SLO probably has about 2900 (non-US hours), too sunny in summer. Seattle probably has about 2000, too cloudy in winter.

I like to have a good proportion of sunny and cloudy skies, alternating at least couple of times in a week - means unique condition dominating over a long period of time being uncommon. Probably I’m one of the member who prefer the least sunshine hours here but I appreciate overcast days when everything is calm and tranquille. Of course when such condition continues over weeks I’ll miss the sunshine. That’s the case in Paris between November to February. From 37% in December to 54% in August possible sunshine sounds about right for me.
