From mid February, the snow was fairly deep, 20-30cm in open spots. About -10C. Aesthethe 232's mate set up a hammock here. Dog was having fun The snow was pretty deep in the woods, 40-50cm, with two layers of ice in the middle. Corn dogs? Are you coming or what? Fluffy snow on the 19th End of the month, a windy day around -5C. Grass is blowing in the wind. Wind blowing trees around in the woods. Walked through this low spot to start. The snow had a crust on top that I kept breaking through which got annoying. The snowmobile trails were slightly better. Stunted trees, the soil is probably too wet since there is a pond nearby. There is no way around this puddle. I broke through the ice the first time, you can see my steps, the way back I went into the trees and broke through again. Made it to the lake. It was very windy and cold so I didn't stay long. Some of the shoreline never freezes:
