Isachsen in the high arctic of Canada reached -39.5C yesterday. I don't think anywhere in Canada or the USA has reached -40 yet. For Alaska, the coldest I see on xmacis is -38f at Robertson River and Coldfoot.
Isachsen daily data: climate.weather.gc.ca/climate_data/daily_data_e.html?StationID=10253&timeframe=2&Year=2021&time=LST
Use multi-station monthly data to search 1 month at a time.
Or use multi station extremes. Analyze for 2021 to 2021 only, search for lowest "avg min temp" over a 1 day period, and restrict the date range to only cover this fall season. This searches for any custom date range instead of 1 month.

Apparently Oymyakon lowkey reached -59c (-74f) on December 8. Seems like it might get close to -60c again soon. Been a pretty solid December in this part of Siberia, with Verkhoyansk also running below avg this month. www.pogodaiklimat.ru/monitor.php?id=24688
Meanwhile in North America, there's a big swath of extreme cold throughout the praries and territories. Some readings of -50c in southwest NWT.

Currently -42c Whitehorse -47c Dawson City -49c Eagle AK -49c Northway AK Decent cold snap for that area, doesnโt happen every year, especially as widespread.

A forecast for Grise Fiord, Nunavut. -30C, clear, and dark for a week straight. I tried to find a completely stable one but there was "a few clouds" or a chance of flurries in the nearby forecasts somewhere. This is close enough.

Extreme cold (with wind!) in the north slope of Alaska yesterday and today. Specifically the eastern part. It is still night there so temperatures may drop more. edit: Shalop saw it too! Nuiqsut (PAQT): Low of -55F/-48C today after a high of -48F/-44C yesterday. 10-12mph winds most of the day (16-19kph). Lowest wind chill was -84F/-64C at 9pm (-53F/-47C with 12mph/19kph wind). Deadhorse (PASC): Low of -51F/-46C with 14mph/23kph wind at 9am yesterday (-84 wind chill). Afternoon high -44F/-42C. For some reason the hourly temps are more extreme than the 6-hour max and min. Kuparuk (PAKU): Currently -49F/-45C with some missing data. Yesterday it was -45F/-43C with a 16mph/26kph wind and 1 mile visibility. And a bogus +100F reading with a light snow shower at the same time on the 6th. The coldest I found is this uninhabited station called Howard Pass. It's at elevation (2062') and has been reporting 45-65mph (72-105kph) sustained winds with temps around -40 since yesterday. The lowest wind chill was -93F/-69C (-43F/-42C with a wind of 52mph/84kph). An article on the station: it is known for having extreme weather, and natives used to go there and look for caribou that froze to death after windy days like this.
Hourly temps in spoiler A lot of stations are showing a dew point around -76F, which is -60C. Maybe that's some sort of placeholder value or error value. Not to be outdone, a few spots in Canada were getting some extreme cold too.
Cape Peel West, NU -39.5C wind NNW 37kph chill -60C (-39F, 23mph, -76) Steffanson Island, NU -45.1 wind WSW 15 chill -60 (-49F, 15mph, -76) Storm Hills, NT -38.8 wind WNW 46 chill -60 (-38F, 29mph, -76) Mould Bay, NT -42.2 wind NNW 29 chill -61 (-44F, 18mph, -78) Several airports reported conditions close to that, but not quite the -60 mark. Hall Beach / Sanirajak, NU is reporting -40 with a wind of 24, chill -57C. (-40F, 15mph, -71F)

-56.4C/-69.5F with a wind chill of -80C/-112F was reported today at Kugluktuk, Nunavut. Extreme! But there are two stations in Kugluktuk, and the other station had a low of -19.9. The extreme cold one is giving an error somehow. This error meant that coldest and warmest place in the territory was the same place . Some hourly readings in spoiler. Currently it's -13.4 at the airport and -49.2 at the other station, which is the warmest and coldest in Nunavut. 01:00 update: -56.4C, wind SW 26, chill -79 04:00 update: -55.8C, wind SSW 34, chill -80

Resolute was the last inhabited place in Canada to break the freezing mark, reaching a balmy 0.4C on the 5th of June. The morning started with blowing snow, and then it switched to drizzle and fog as the temperature reached freezing. It's one of the last stations in the northern hemisphere so this isn't anything extreme for there. Unlike the other stations, people actually live there with an estimated population of 183 in 2021. Their forecast has nothing above freezing still. 24 hours of daylight but it's cloudy and cold. I looked at other high arctic stations on Ogimet to see which ones were still waiting for a positive temperature. I didn't check every station so I might have missed one. All of these are research stations or unmanned weather stations. Ostrov Golomjannyj (Russia) 79-33-05N, 8m, warmest -0.4 on the 26th. Ostrov Vize (Russia) 79-30N, 10m, warmest -0.5 on three days. Gmo Im. E. K. Fedorova (Russia) 77-43N, 13m, warmest 0.0 on two days. Also known as Cape Chelyuskin, this is a station on the the northernmost point of mainland Russia.
Isachsen (Canada) 78-47N, 58m, reached +0.1 today the 6th. Probably the latest in Canada. Rea Point (Canada) broke freezing the same day as Resolute. 75-22N, 15m. Both uninhabited The northernmost station, Kap Morris Jesup (83-39N) reached freezing on the 30th. Alert on the 30th. Eureka did on the 28th. Grise Fiord on the 31st.

Finally winter in siberia again. Oymyakon had anomalies of -10c several days this month already, and logged -55c three consecutive days. Verkhoyansk not so much. Been warm there with +10c anomalies instead. Yakutsk in between ... has been close to average. www.pogodaiklimat.ru/monitor.php?id=24688

As much as I managed to find some information, it turned out that the temperatures below -60c have not been recorded there for several years.
