A -58C high in the forecast for Summit Camp! A relatively mild start to the year for Oymyakon, should be below -40 day and night this time of year. Mild up in Fairbanks by their standards too, some days they aren't even going to be any colder than New York City!

Summit Camp the coldest place on Earth the past couple of days? Oymyakon not doing much special, pretty close to average there.

"Oymyakon not doing much special" with highs consistently below -40 C and lows hovering around -50 C, goes to show how ridiculous that climate is. Summit Camp has been brutally cold the past few days, I've been looking at their weather. Looks like it'll warm up to a mere -19 C by the end of the week next week though.

Verkhoyansk looking right on average too, with the exception of Friday with a -49 C high, which is about 6-7 C below average! Night time looks average though.

In what way are cold lovers "hypocritical"? Please quit it with that stupid shit. You make yourself sound like a drooling moron saying dumb shit like that.

Not a forecast, more of a current weather situation, but... it's a bit cold in Oymyakon... coldest in 7 yrs if I'm not mistaken! This month so far: www.pogodaiklimat.ru/monitor.php?id=24688And the previous month on the Greenland Summit. Looks like the forecasts came to fruition after all:

^Says that on mine too, but I just bypass that via "Go Advanced," at my own risk. Doubt Summit Camp website can have malicious stuff...

That Svalbard forecast deserves to be posted here because it is so ridiculously mild for that part of the world, apart from the daylight hours this should be Oslo's forecast or something! The average mean at this time of year is -15C, but it was raining yesterday with a 6C high www.yr.no/place/Norway/Svalbard/Longyearbyen/detailed_statistics.htmlIt's too dark to see much on the webcam, but the snow's starting to look patchy in places even before it takes another beating tomorrow. longyearbyen.kystnor.no/

^6C high in Longyearbyen is pretty extreme for January! The all-time high is 7.7C from 2006.

^ WO is completely wrong with Gibostad then. In my computer it looks like this: Yes WO is completely wrong about location. There was a weather station at Gibostad S of Tromsø, and the model might be using that data for generating forecast.
