Been a pretty warm April here with an anomaly of +4.7 F (+2.6 C) so far this month, majority of trees are now green/leafed out though some are still blooming and even bare, most notably crepe myrtles which require lots of warmth to get going.
Yesterday was a pretty stormy day with 1.26" (32 mm) of rainfall recorded, which brought the monthly rainfall total back to average. Quite lush outside right now, high today was 71 F (22 C) and tonight is dropping to 48 F (9 C).

Kristianstad recorded 21.1'C after 8pm. Arlanda Airport (between Uppsala/Sthlm) had 20.5'C after 8pm apparently, but none of the hourly readings were above 14'C lol, so must be an error.

Bunghole's mean temp so far in April is 3C higher than in Turdku. Giorbanguly, wasn't Bunghole supposed to be a FPW with constantly below average months? ?

The average took a hit after yesterday’s 46F high, but the forecast looks mostly warm for the rest of the month. 80 will be possible again Tuesday per TWC. Looking quite verdant here as well. Noticeable progress following the 1.05” of rain we got on Friday. That takes us to just above normal for the month, with 3.66” so far.

Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland all had their warmest Easter Sunday on record today. Cardiff Bute Park & Edinburgh Botanic Gardens both had 23.4C & Helen's Bay N.I 21.0C. The previous records were 21.6C in Brynamman Wales in 1984, 20.7C in Aboyne Scotland in 2015 & 19.4C in Armagh N.I in 1924.
The highest temperature today in England was 24.6C at Heathrow, which wasn't enough to beat the previous record of 25.3C recorded at Lee-On-Solent Hampshire in 2011.

It's been fairly eventful here lately:
- Thunderstorm early this morning kept me awake for a while
- 20-30 mm of rain fell in the city overnight
- This broke a two-week spell of 28+ C lows
- Two consecutive 30+ C lows were recorded at two separate sites in the city
- The Metro site got within half a degree C of the record high of 40.1 C
- And so far this month only one day has failed to exceed 35 C

Well of course there was a forecast bust today and it only got to 73 (23 C). Looks like there will be just 3 days in the 70s this month and the highest temp will be a pathetic 75 (24 C). Except for last year’s debacle, that’s the lowest April record high since 1999. Meanwhile in fucking Albany, there’s been 5 straight 70s and they have an averages high 5 f warmer than us And now next week looks like a cold, rainy, stable disaster. At at least it’s pretty now with flowers, blooming shrubs and trees starting to leaf out.
