tornado touched down in NW New Jersey; nasty sounding damage. Near where ilmc90 lives radar signature Yes, it was quite the story here. No severe weather in my neck of the woods that night though except for some rain and thunder. There was a lot of heavy rain last week.

USA rainfall since October 1st. Wet on most of the country, dry in the PNW. Sorry omegaraptor Milwaukee is about 150% of normal and 8" above normal. Central Wyoming has the highest % of normal, a small part of Colorado has the lowest. Several areas are more than 20" above normal, the highest color. Parts of western Washington and Oregon are more than 20" below normal. Is sari the wettest compared to normal?

Funny how the negative precip anomalies cut off right at the 42nd parallel, as God intended. Hope next winter is a 2016-17 repeat, just to see Californian transplants cry.

Getting above average precip in the summer months is more important to me than what I get October thru May. I don't mind a drier than normal winter or shoulder seasons.
