Wasn't expecting it to be this windy today. Gusts around 40 mph.
Relatively cool with highs in the low to mid 60s through the weekend, then warming back to upper 70s by Monday.

Saw some small hail while I was driving this afternoon! The sky looks like midsummer with tall clouds and isolated downpours, even though it’s only in the 60s.

The Nenana Ice classic tripod went out on April 14th, 6 days earlier than the previous record! The tripod marks when the ice breaks up on the Tanana river in central Alaska. In roughly 100 years, the earliest was April 20th 1940 and the latest May 20th 2013. March was the warmest on record, 18.9F/10.5C above normal in the area which is why it was so early. Afternoon temps today. Barely above freezing in Lapland, and 26C in Latvia and Lithuania. Denmark and especially Gothenburg seems pretty shitty. Bergen barely above 10C.

We had high 21.2c today. Another day that felt like summer.
Bergen (Florida) high 12.1c low 9.9c - typical cloudy day there.
Hammerfest high 4.4c low 0.1c
That station near Tromsø showing -4.5c is actually a station on Svalbard, wrongly placed their on the map.

Gothenburg's station isn't reporting any values right now. That 9.4'C reading is from a lighthouse station. But yeah, there's no denying the SW had craptacular weather today. |

High was 22.8C in Turku, and that was also the Finnish record for this year.
Meanwhile right now -2.1C and 18 cm of snow on the ground in Ilomantsi Pötsönvaara.

Calgary officially has a winter storm warning in effect. 10 to 15 cm of snow are forecast for tonight and there are currently sustained 50km/h (30mph) winds.

Yesterday had 0.3” (0.8 cm) of snow.
Last year in snowed in April 29th, this year on April 27th.

We managed to completely avoid any of the snowfall that had been predicted this weekend, thankfully. Southern Alberta got slammed pretty good and I was worried it was gonna make its way here but we managed to avoid it.

A 4°C high is coming up and some rainy single digit days as well. Spring is the only season I don't like cold waves in.
