some huge diurnal ranges in New Hampshire; they seem to have some of the biggest in the Northeast (or anywhere east of the Rockies) in early spring. -17ยฐF at 7 am in Berlin, New Hampshire, 27ยฐF at noon time. Looks like today's was large from a warmer air mass moving in at the same time the sun warmed up the day this morning's lows in the Northeast and by stations zoomed in for Vermont & New Hampshire. Not all stations seem legit.

Ended up getting into the 20's twice this week. Temp bottomed out at 25F Tuesday morning! This was colder than it's been all winter...
Got up to 72F today and humidity has returned. There had been a severe risk tomorrow, but that threat has shifted further north.

Although March has started out very cold, itโs been quite sunny so it hasnโt felt as bad as last year.
The last 4 days were all partly or mostly sunny, especially yesterday and today has started off clear as well.
This has produced some nice high diurnals:
39/10 on the 1st 34/6 on the yesterday at least 35/7 today
Next week looks warmer and more variable so maybe this cold will be done soon...

fast moving "clipper" system bringing snow to Minnesota and rain to most of the Northeast not a particularly impressive storm but should interesting to watch NWS discussion says the Whites will get cold air damming, not much rain mixed in. from NWS discussion: Weak sfc low develops right over the CWA on Sunday as main low tracks well to out N and E. Initially this will help some cold air damming during the morning and precip will start as snow in the morning everywhere. As the low develops will begin to see increased E-SE flow which will allow temps near the sfc to warm to freezing or above during the early to mid afternoon along the coast and in srn NH, and late afternoon and early eve into parts of the foothills. Look for 1-2" of snow most places before a changeover, with 2-3" further inland, and 3-6" into the mountains and part of the foothills. mid 40s in NYC today; snow finally melting fast. Probably will be gone tomorrow? Cold early March stretch is done.

Hasn't hit 15C since November 1st. We should surpass that in about seven days.
September 8th was the last time it was 20C or warmer (20.2C)...lol.

I don't really care for warmth until April sets in.
It's quite windy today. Sustained winds above 50 kph for 3 hours now and gusts up to 94 km/h.m at Orly airport.

Last 20C in Trondheim was Oct 14th.

Last year wasnt even about the cold, it was the endless 35F days, and the neverending gloom and clouds. This March has been horrible so far, but nothing compared to last year's nightmare

Yeah, but the obs from weather stations such as that one are behind a payfall afaik. Here's a page with the latest observations though: meteonews.fr/fr/Mesures/M07156004/Tour_Eiffel
