Wildcat that turned out very nice, and it looks like a gorgeous day for that horse. I see the black wood fence that seems to be common in central Kentucky. I was in the area a few years ago and those fences around endless horse pastures stuck out. I remember there was a road that was almost all massive horse pasture and rich houses.

Had an unusually late snow on April 27th. Some plants were already in bloom, and the grass was in full summer green already. Decently leafed out now (the 8th) except for some larger trees.

A few miles out of town, Northampton's drinking water nice forest road looking down into the valley from Whateley closer in nice light Deerfield River wide, flat and shallow near its mouth what bird is this? Doesn't look like a native bird, maybe escaped pet or farm bird? halfway up the hill above Greenfield forest views on the way up nice pond smooth dirt road Deerfield River further upstream than the previous shot. Has some rapids anyone know what plants these are? looking at the river from above hill above the deerfield unpaved road with washboard. bump bump your bicycle if you can't go around local kids playing waterfall on the way home almost sunset. not sure if I like the above photo or the one with the neighboring house in it better. Saw a pretty impressive double rainbow while working at the airport last week. Sky was incredibly hazy this Thursday. Definitely Bangkok-esque. Sunshine was recorded basically 100% for the entirety of the day (until actual clouds rolled in around 4pm) Halo Do you wanna know what this reminds me of? October in continental Europe. Fall colors in Europe are really muted, and in late September/early October they were obviously not peaking yet. Looking out of the train, especially in the northern region of France, this is basically what it looked like lol (but there weren't any bare trees of course. Looks more like how I remember Wales looking in November from Razza's pics) All the trees that look reddish from a distance always look much less red up close. This is taken by the "red" tree in the center right on the previous image. This is a pretty cool one. There's ropes tied to it so you can swing down into the river. I've never really used it myself, and I've always thought it was a standing tree. I don't know if it used to be standing and has fallen recently or if it's always been like this. Why does this image look black and white lol? Umeå's beaches rival the Mediterranean. I like this area down by the river. Found a treehouse. I also found this incredibly strange hole. This is what makes me hnnnghghhg Crossed the river to visit a tiny nature reserve (don't know what designation the place has officially, but it's supposed to show untouched nature). Looks more bare than it really is because the trees at the edges of the water are alders which at this point had only tiny leaves, or they're birches and none of the birches in this particular area had leaves at this point (meanwhile just 100m away there are like hundreds of birches in a row that were all green lol) On my way I found this weird house that someone's renovating. While I was at the nature place thingy, I found a cat lol. Tried to call it to me, but then another cat came from behind and spooked it lol. That other cat came and let me pet him. It was a poor decision to pet it though because after that, it followed me around for literally my entire stay at that spot (about 20 minutes). photos.google.com/share/AF1QipPuPH42PSukUGPNC5QPCSIqrCFiIHCEeFJanpi1Ul9HmX4jS-7dSxVFvDFY3PGXGA/photo/AF1QipPoCzVnX_toiQ9dHzU8GDkFL7mmUJdR5Q1bQMHI?key=dzE4ME1SMUtZdDN2Rk9FR2dhdE5SYTZXd1NWY1p3A pretty cool cat tbh. Aspen are bare. They're the last native species to get leaves. Rip in piece great towering spruce This is not a native pine species lol. The area also has quite a few elderflower trees (and hundreds of oak saplings), so for being untouched nature, it's doing pretty poorly at being native vegetation. Still snow in some sheltered areas lol. I eventually moved over to the river island. This place is quite cold at night. I drank beer at a campfire there with the guys a couple weeks ago and it was like 4'C colder than the surroundings. Here's another angle on downtown. Pond on the island. Superior Umean beaches It seems Paramount Studios finally fixed their Sonic design for their live-action adaptation. Later that day we drank beer at a friend's apartment, and then when we were going home at 3am we climbed onto some roofs in the center of town. I absolutely love the surreal feeling of being out in daylight (or since it's early May, dusk) in the middle of a city or town, and not a soul is there. Climbed some more It's funny, after climbing the ladder, I was sat by a window, and apparently it was the window of an apartment living room - do people actually live there? Wtf. Literally a window view of the central bus station lol. What's weird is the window was half open, so when I leaned toward it, it opened inward to their living room. That was a bit sketchy. Felt like I was seriously violating their private space and security. That day was the first average day after the coldest start to May in decades. You could tell the vegetation had been squirming in their cocoons itching to burst from the tiniest heat, because that single day had a larger effect on nature than the whole first week of May. This is the day after and suddenly these wild birches started getting green.

One week ago, May 5th, Trondheim hills (320 m asl) 250 m ASL
Today May 12th (100 m ASL). The start of May has been among the coldest last 70 years. Still some slow progression, probably used the sunny spells? Around 7C.
We call this little bird "linerle", think you call it wagtail.

Babu That cat followed you from the renovated house. You got some really nice pics of that cat. You should've kidnapped him. Also, it's probably not a good idea to climb random ladders on the sides of apartment buildings at 2am or 3am.
