meterological autumn (dark green) has arrived in almost all of sweden now. still summer in parts of scania, öland and gotland. What's the definition of meteorological autumn? Permanently means below 10C, and it's followed for at least 10 days.

Wonder when Ilomantsi Pötsönvaara will get its first snow... Gole got its first snow already. Due to its elevation. Gole is colder than Ardahan because it's higher. Gole is the coldest town in Turkey.

Today had yet another morning shower--getting sick of all this rain. 7 of the past 9 days have had rain. September was great and whole October has been very nice temp-wise, it's been just too damn wet.
Today's rainfall total has been 0.14" (3.5 mm). The high has been 64 (18 C) so far and the morning low was 51 (11 C).

Ponta Delgada currently is 23.1C at the Airport and 24.0C downtown. That means downtown is warmer than the airport //Lomsizat

We hit 81°F today, but a cold front is approaching. Some areas of central Kentucky should see the first 30s of the season on Monday night.

So, this "Hurricane", that will have weekend to a bit of a gale by the time it gets here, has obviously been in the local news and weather reports.
Clearly, someone is paying attention, because on a walk earlier, I noticed somebody actually boarding up windows with big sheets of plywood, just as they do in Florida.

It's not really going to be anything out of the ordinary here. Ireland are getting it bad though, the government has held emergency meetings. All schools on the island are going to be closed as a precaution.
