Somehow my lows are staying in July while highs are in September. Annoying muggy nights.

The highest temp this September has only been 80 here (today hit 79). This would be the 3rd lowest September record high in 146 years . However, next week looks like it will get at least into the low 80s. Still, we've had stunning weather he past 3 weeks with lots of sun, little rain during the day, cool nights and pleasant days.

You should move to a lower altitude like Doncaster or you have no right to complain ben Nah, this time last year we were still getting 20-25C+ most days with plenty of sun so I am allowed to complain about this while we're still in the window of possible decent weather I could move east of the Pennines and get a slight but noticeable improvement in terms of climate (Linton-on-Ouse where Dean works has had half the rain we've had so far this month), but places on the west coast in particular have had it just as bad.

What a freak spot in northern Algeria 41C! Seems odd, false reading? That 41C was at Bou-Saada airport in Algeria & is legit, the high on the 11th was 41.2C. Yesterday it was even hotter there with 44.0C being recorded! Ogimet- Bou-Saada Airport Data

Thinking about it... that 6C low in Spain, is that one of the 13 climate zones?

Christ haha! September, or at least the first half anyway, usually still feels like summer. This year it feels like we've gone straight into bloody October. Btw, absolutely no sign of 'Storm Aileen' here. It was our recycling bin day today, so I expected to see everybody's crap all over the street this morning, but there was absolutely nothing.
