Interesting where did you find that map? Could you screen Scania and South Denmark next time as well? Far northern Norway is less exciting

Thanks! I find it a bit weird that on such a cold day up in the north there were no low-lying frosts even in far eastern Finland bordering the Kola Peninsula! I always thought on that Russian border, it was colder than Kiruna for most of the year! Isn't it so?

Oh, must be Kiruna's elevation then! I also believe Kiruna's weather station is located 150 m asl lower than the town as well, but it's in the middle of the woods, so will even itself out I guess (it's at the space station...) Which is the weather station that had a 5.3C max reading in the Kola region right on the border there? Would be cool to see some long-term averages from there?

kilpisjärvi, näkkälä, kuusamo and kevo are most likely colder in winter than kiruna. but then again, smhi hasn't released the 81-10 average so it's hard to know for certain. actually, kevos 81-10 winter average is colder than kirunas 1961-1990 winter average kiruna normals 1961-1990 -13.9 -12.5 -8.7 -3.2 3.4 9.6 12.0 9.8 4.6 -1.4 -8.1 -11.9 utsjoki 1981-2010 fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utsjoki

The warm spell continues here. Today reached 85 (29 C), the hottest temperature of the month. The last 6 days have had highs of 79, 81, 80, 81, 83 and 85.
The humidity has also been high recently with the dew peaking at 66 (19 C) today, tied for the highest this month. The last 6 days have all had dew points reaching 60.
Lows have been mostly pleasant, staying in the upper 50s although I have needed my fan the past 2 nights.
The best thing about this streak has been the dryness. The last time it rained was the 6th!
The 10-day looks just as perfect with highs in the low 80s, lows in the high 50s, tons of sun and no rain.

Phoenix is starting to cool off now. Monsoon Season is coming to an end and drier dew points are back. Upper 80's next weekend?

Yet another hot, humid day today. The high reached 86 (30C) after a low of 63 (17C). Both were monthly highs.
Today was also more humid than the past week with the dew point reaching 69 (21C) and never falling below 62 (17C). The heat index peaked at 88 (31C).
The next 9 days are all supposed to have highs in the 80s and no rain.
Were now up to 6 straight 80+ days and 12 straight rainless days!

Down to 3.5C last night, that's definitely cold for a place which these days doesn't even get frosts in October.

Ilmc90 would get a hard-on of the weather here. Yesterday it went down to 3C, and we are struggling to get past 10C today - full overcast. Tomorrow more of the same with a chance of rain. The weekend should be beautiful with sun and possibility to break the 20C mark.

^ Are autumn colors starting become more common with the cooler weather?
Nothing autumn-like here. 86 F (30 C) with a 77 F (25 C) dew point right now. Lowest low temperature in the forecast is 76 F (24 C). Sigh....

Yes absolutely, soon it'll dominate the treescape Tonight it's only 8C. It felt quite humid outside so not proper cold. I forgot my gloves indoors but it didn't matter one bit.
