Yeah, that skicenter is close to the highest mountain, så should be Juvasshøe at ca 1900 m asl. Tromsø has recorded 18.6C so far today - new all-time high for Oct. Bardufoss 18.7C, new all-time high for that place. Further north, outside your map, Nuvsvåg in Finnmark (W of Hammerfest, 70 16 N) is recording 20.8C at 14:00, thus completely crushing the old province record high (17.6C) for October

It seems 80mm of rain fell in two days just south-west of Umeå! That's extreme. October's monthly average is just 52mm...

It's currently 71 (22 C) with a 68 (20 C) dew point. It was sunny until around 3:30 and then it started pouring with a few rumbles of thunder. Around 5, it turned into a rare sun shower before the rain ended at about 5:30. It's overcast now.
So far, 0.11" (~3 mm) has fallen at the airport.
The high of 84 (29 C) was the highest temp for the date since 1951 and likely the highest temperature until next May.
The 68 (20 C) dew point is quite rare for October--since 1948 the highest October dew is 71 (21.7 C).

"Storm" Anonymous (this one not given a name for some reason) is set to "pound" northern England overnight, with gusts to more than 60mph. Be interesting to see what max gust we record in this locality. Seems like there's been gales in every month since June this year. Maybe the odd overturned wheelie bin or garden chair in the street somewhere tomorrow.

A hurricane forecast to hit the Gulf coast this weekend. Right now it is forecast to stay to my east, but some models are taking it further west. Right now it's a tropical depression, but it will be named Nate once it becomes a tropical storm.

65 F/18 C at 8:40PM after a high of 76 F/24 C. Almost feels like a spring evening. Warm again tomorrow with a forecast high of 80 F/27 C and it looks like it'll be remaining warm (70s) for the foreseeable future. So much for autumn.

Hurricane Nate looks to make landfall on the Mississippi coast overnight tonight. I'm not expecting anything too impressive here, as I'm on the weaker side of the storm. I could get some of the outer rain bands that might some brief heavy rain.

Funny, I ran a couple of errands this morning and it felt like a beach day. Seems more appropriate than going pumpkin picking or one of the typical October weekend activities.

It's up to 70 (21 C) as of 12 PM and the sun is finally starting to come out. It rained and drizzled all morning, bringing 0.14" (4 mm).
Its been another humid day with dews hovering in the mid 60s (high 10s C) so far.
The forecast high of 84 (29 C) seems unlikely to happen but it's still noon and the sun is coming out, so it could happen.

Signs that the cold-zonal rot that has plagued the British Isles since early September might be on its way out? TBH I've seen so many charts like this at the week away timeslot that I won't be surprised if it disappears from the charts in the next 24-48 hours. But I'll have to turn into a duck or a fish if this blasted rain continues any longer...

Too many goddamn people fishing - can't swim in most spots unless you wanna get fucking pierced by a fishing hook ... should have gone to Rehoboth Beach. I'm wondering where all the people are. They should be more people, more activity here
