Heavy rainfall in front of a clear sunset today... Some very strange weather I more associate with April than October

Meanwhile here our extended summer continues. Reached the low 80s today and even though the sun is setting, it's still 77 F/25 C at 6:30PM. Autumn is on hold until further notice. Even the leaves seemed to have stopped changing. Remaining above 75 F/24 C through Tuesday. Probably one of the worst Octobers in recent memory. October 2007 was probably the last really bad October we've had.

Do you two New Jersey guys have similar weather prefrences? Well, when we had an Indian summer back in early October 2013, I was miserable. This time, however, I've kept my window AC unit installed, and it seems it'll stay that way for the foreseeable future. I've plugged up some of the small holes with toilet paper, and I haven't seen as many motherfucking stinkbugs as I have in years past. Worst fucking part about living here - the fucking stinkbugs this time of year. I think ilmc90 likes overcast, rainy weather, which I'm not too big a fan of. Plus, I don't think he's much of a beachgoer. Then again, I'm only about a 75-90 minute drive from free beaches. He's in NW NJ. Very different parts of the state. But like him, I love a good snowstorm. The more accumulation, the better. Honestly, wish I could skip fall & spring. Just take me from hiking in the Pocono mountains in the snow to the swimming at the beach. None of this in-between shit. I could take about one or two weeks of genuine autumnal weather. Halloween, fall foliage, all that good stuff. Then bring on winter.

An interesting weather phenomenon happened last night.
At 11 PM, it was 70 (21 C). At 12 AM, it rose to 74 (23 C). By 2 AM, it was up to 76 (24 C), with winds of 30 mph. At 4 PM, it dropped to 70 (21 C) and started to rain.
Must have been some kind of quick warm front that passed through late at night.
0.19" (5 mm) fell from morning showers. There's been 4 days with rain so far this month, but 3 have had morning/night rain so it hasn't been an issue.

Do you two New Jersey guys have similar weather prefrences? I don't think so, other than snowfall, as he said. Rarely go to the beach because I'm too far. Takes about two hours to get there without traffic, meaning it would more likely be 3-4 hours on a busy summer day/weekend. I'm tucked away in the rolling hills and woods of NW NJ. Meanwhile, today is absolutely disgusting for October 8th. Right now it's 78 F/26 C with a dewpoint of 72 F/22 C (heat index 80 F/27 C). Hopefully we'll at least get a good soaking rain tonight and tomorrow.

Hurricane Nate was quite a disappointment here. I only got a bit of light rain/drizzle yesterday.

Has been a downright brutal last three days down here, 80 F dew points has been recorded in all three days, up to 82 F (28 C) yesterday: w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KFLL.htmlThis has certainly been the most humid stretch this summer. Yes, I'm still calling it summer because it pretty much still is summer. Currently a very warm and humid 86 F (30 C) with a 78 F (26 C) dew point at FLL. 83 F (28 C) with a 74 F (28 C) at HWO. No lows below 75 F (24 C) in the 7-day forecast either.

^ What's the record high minimum for October 8th? That's ridiculous. Like 30 F above average right?
Oh and about Botev. Seattle will probably get a warm period in early November with highs of 60-65 F and he'll act like it's normal weather for them.

^ What's the record high minimum for October 8th? That's ridiculous. Like 30 F above average right? 63 F/17 C so it looks like that'll get blown out of the water. Average low this time of the year is 41 F/5 C, so yeah about 30 degrees above average. The record low max for October is 70 F/21 C so it looks like we'll tie it.
