Did you get a major thunderstorm over town from those clouds Babu? Really fascinating one, there by the airport.

That's amazing, because it looks like a 30-minute thunderblast inferno incoming from that picture.

Trip to the Shawgunks in upstate NY a little over a week ago. Otisville, NY looking down the valley stone barn up in the Gunks, Sam's Point Preserve ice caves. no ice, but rather refreshingly chilly part of the ridge had a forest fire in 2016 (think it was spring); nice open forest top of waterfall mountain laurel glacial erratic waterfall looking down the valley back to the forest fire recovering woods back at the park entrance, looking up at the path crossing the Hudson just before sunset Beacon, NY. Taco place was out of tacos

some more western MA photos from earlier in June. Second day from Mt. Greylock trip. Morning in Williamstown, MA. Only place to get lattes early in the morning Nice pics, looks like a beautiful and relaxing area. Too lush for my tastes though. it's wet here… does it look more lush than Vancouver? I'd guess vegetation is so different it's hard to compare.

I saw this shelf cloud yesterday, but lo and fucken behold, not a trace of lightning. Par for the course the last few crummers.

Photos from Mettams Pool, a popular surfing/swimming/snorkelling spot in the northern suburbs of Perth. Air temperature was 17-18C, sunny conditions, 1-2.5ft swell (although we were sheltered behind the reef) with an ocean temperature of 19.1C. Further south at Scarborough beach for lunch: A "warm" mid-winter's day for Perth!

the amazing beaches of NYC. Rode my bicycle of course Giorbanguly AJ1013 . A neighborhood I passed on the way (Kensington). Grocery store lists "organic" as any other ethnic cusine halal express is… a chinese takeout? apartment buildings lining Brighton Beach waves were very weak, perhaps beach Brighton Beach is partly protected from the open ocean. Felt like a bay, could be easy to swim in further out right near the beach was dense for southern Brooklyn; looked more like upper Manhattan a shot of the beach boardwalk now in the Rockaways, a barrier island further out. shrubby In Fort Tilden, which is just preserved parkland with no facilities. weird beach road, felt almost like it had crushed shells. Beach was rather empty surf was bigger but still weak and came in and wet my feet no bike racks here, so I leaned against rocks close to the water so I could see it gentle surf, relaxing not crowded bike racks here could see the Manhattan skyline uncropped view "Your atoms are not caring if you are existing. You are atoms are monstrous existence". Wonder if this philosopher was a native English speaker observation platform was a weird army bunker trail views by the shrub. I like this flowering plant afterwards went past more well used beaches in the Rockaways and took the subway back. Didn't take any more photos

These are from Sunday evening. Storm clouds with a rainbow: This one was producing some great CG bolts, but it didn’t last very long as I got there late. Headed back the opposite direction, more forming...

Mixed sun and cloudset down in Oxelösund by the open sea 15 km south during tonight's bike ride, believe it or not, those clouds turned out to be completely harmless, not a drop so far nor expected!

Noice! What was the last time you encountered a bear? Got scared? Nothing new under the sun here. The grass looks awful. Yesterday evening. Temps in the mid-30s around sundown.

Noice! What was the last time you encountered a bear? 2013; outside my bedroom window. Went out to follow it for a photo but failed to keep up with him. Bleh, days before I had a smartphone was easy to miss photos. actually a bit; more than some previous encounters. Something to do with being stared at, plus having to pass by it to continue biking.
