I mean it's Umeå we're talking about here The 36'C forecast was from FMI, YR forecast 34'C, SMHI 33'C and WO was like 32'C or something like that. Finns on the Vodka
36°C has never even happened in Norrköping in spite of its heat trap position that has barely taken it above 35°C once, so that it would happen in Umeå is beyond me.

July was fairly mild and wet/stormy, with slightly below average temperatures and slightly above average precipitation. It was also a bit more stable than usual without any of the real summer heatwaves we often get, with the typical pattern through most of the month being a couple of warm days sandwiched between stable cooler-than-usual conditions. This the mildest July that I've experienced here in a long time, there have been one or two that were milder than this in recent years but I was living in Vancouver during those ones and didn't experience them firsthand. Sunshine stats are not in yet but I expect that, like June, it will be slightly below average. We had a fairly wet month with some pretty epic storms and higher humidity than usual (which surely contributed to the stability and mildness of the month). Stats: Average high: 24.4C (normal: 25.3C) Average low: 11.3C (normal: 11.6C) Highest high: 30.5C (July 23rd) Highest low: 16.4C (July 7th) Lowest high: 16.3C (July 25th) Lowest low: 5.1C (July 2nd) Precipitation: 67.6mm (normal: 60.3mm) Precipitation days: 15 (normal: 11) Wettest day: 19.2mm (July 24th)

Averages and graph for Grenoble: Averages and graph for my place back to Italy: This month I travelled quite a lot around Europe, so I thought that it could be funny to also make a collage of the month I actually experiences by myself, making a collage of different weather stations. That's the result (I always took the closest weather station I could find on infoclimat, it is not intended to be precise btw).

July: 2019 This looks like an east Asian monsoon climate, at least slightly like it. The first 3 weeks is really consistent, wow. Almost a tropical consistency, endless 90/70 days. This month I travelled quite a lot around Europe, so I thought that it could be funny to also make a collage of the month I actually experiences by myself, making a collage of different weather stations. That's the result Now there is some good variability! Some members would love that, others would hate it. I like this better than a full month in Grenoble. 32/18 is too hot for me, 28/15 is much better. Despite being just 0.2°C above average, this tied for our 6th warmest July on record How is that even possible?

It was the T-16th warmest July out of 148 which sounds impressive but was pathetic compared to farther east. Would have been a decent month except now it’s an infuriating case of what could have been. Here’s the month: And the year:

Juli 2019 väderöversikt för Pörtlånd flygplatsThis July was a very mild summer month for PDX. After a cool start, the month warmed up significantly as it went on. While the average high was right around normal at 80.3ºF, the low was a very mild 60.3ºF - the sixth warmest on record. As a result, the month was considered warmer than average. Lowest temperature of the entire month was 55, which is incredibly mild - the average is about 51. This is tied for second warmest on record with 2004, 2005, and 2009. However, this average low is influenced by UHI. Sometime soon, I will make an equivalent climate data for Hillsboro, which is out in the nearby Tualatin Valley and does not experience UHI, giving it much cooler lows than the PDX station. From August onward, both stations will be presented in the monthly summary. Precipitation was technically above average thanks to a thunderstorm on July 1 that did not impact the entire metro area. Precipitation would be average to slightly below average discounting this thunderstorm. Coolest high was 68.

Warmer and drier than normal. 3.3F/1.8C above average. There were 7 rainy days based on 0.01" but only 3 days above 1mm/0.04". 0.30" on the 2nd, 0.77 on the 18th, and 2.01 on the 20th (7,20, and 51mm). There were storms, but they happened when I was at work or sleeping. And some missed Milwaukee completely. Early July had a few cooler days in the low 70s, but nothing since then. The coldest night was just 57F/14C and there were 10 nights in the 70s.
Average dew point was 63F/17C, with a peak of 78F/26C on the 19th when it was 93F/33C, causing a heat index of 107F/42C. That day there were some stations showing dews of 80 or 81 in the area, extremely humid for here.
Madison was much wetter with more storms. There were no cool days, every day reached at least 77F/25C and only 1 night below 57F/14C (the 31st). Also 10 nights in the 70s. The average dew point was 65F/18C, higher than normal, and the peak was 79F/26C on the 19th.

A pretty radical shift. This is the first dry month since September 2018. After the 10th, the tap just shut off. The month would have been well below average if not for a brief, intense heatwave in the middle of it, during which lows approached 80F (and exceeded it at the downtown station). On a more positive note, the month cooled and stabilized in a big way after the heat ended, and there are currently no days exceeding 88F in the 14-day forecast. And, humidity is staying down. August 2017 #2 coming? Edit: Forgot to add the anomolies! Average max: 87.7F, -0.6FMean: 77.8F, -0.5FAverage min: 67.9F, -0.5FPrecipitation: 2.49", -1.96"Highest max: 97F, 19th/20th Lowest max: 80F, 4th Highest min: 79F, 19th Lowest min: 57F, 23rd Description: 1st to 16th was nearly tropical in its consistency and stability. 90/70 infinite loop. Then four days of heat, then a cooldown. The last ten days of the month had highs in the 80s (except for one day) and lows in the 60s, with low humidity. About as nice as July here can get.

2nd wettest July on record. More than half the rain fell in one day (July 30 had 7.70" from a slow moving heavy t-storm). Also got some periods of heavy rainfall due to Hurricane Barry the middle of the month. Still a little disappointing t-storm-wise considering the amount and frequency of precip. Had heavy rainfall without much lightning a number of times. I'd guess there were 3 good t-storms overhead (there was quite a bit of lightning with the July 30 storm which lasted a couple of hours). A good bit cooler than normal (was 0.2F from making the top 10 coolest months). First half of the month was hotter than the second half. Had a few unusually cool days with lower than normal humidity July 23-26. Up to 49.24" of rain for the year now. Lowest max: 79F Highest min: 77F Max dewpoint: 79F Min dewpoint: 59F Avg dewpoint: 73F Days with thunder: 11

Despite the hottest temperature recorded on the 25th, it was still a warm month yet not exactly the same level of the pertinacity of last year. No wonder why this July felt better in relatively speaking. Year | Highest | Average High | ≥30°C Maximum Day

Seattle July 2019 SummaryMediocre month compared to what we've been getting in July the past few years but still above-average for SeaTac. SeaTac isn't representative of the city now because of all the concrete producing a UHI-like effect. I would guess that my location tends to have warmer highs than most of Seattle city but not by much. Average High: 76.5 °F (+0.7 °F) Daily Mean: 67.5 °F (+1.8 °F) Average Low: 58.6 °F (+3.0 °F) Precipitation: 1.15" (+0.45", 164%) Precipitation Days: 7 (+2.0) Highest Temperature: 91 °F (21th) Lowest Temperature: 55 °F (4th, 19th) Lowest Maximum: 62 °F (2nd) Highest Minimum: 64 °F (27th) Here's WFO Seattle, which is more representative of the city. The departure from normal for this station is −0.4 °F.
