Today it was almost summer in Grenoble (extremes 12.8/29.0Β°C recorded at the closest weather station), so I caught the chance for doing a last walk in the sun before it starts to rain. So, here there are some pictures I took today while walking in some city parks. Also notice the incredible advance of foliage all over the city (*sarcasm*) ^ around the city there are really a lot of building with graffiti or other large pictures covering a whole side. ^ all the foliage of the town concentrated on a single tree... ^ Perret Tower ^ lots of red fish in a pond in one of the parks

Not my picture, but I've just found this picture on facebook and it was too nice to don't share it. Today there was a large perturbation both around here and on the other side of the border, this was taken in my valley just after the end of the rain. The place is almost the same where I took the picture I use as a profile picture ( here).

Still not foliage around, but the first snow starts to be visible on the top of the mountains around here (I had to zoom in quite a lot, tall mountains are quite far from the city center)

don't have the time or energy to go through 1,000 photos. Here's four from a hike on Sunday in the White Mountains. On or just below Mt. Madison, the northernmost Presidential range peak. When you see sunset from above treeline you got great timing but you're gonna be hiking in the dark. Across the Great Gulf to Mount Washington, towards south looking north near to the end of the mountains east across Pinkham Notch Madison's shadow, an hour before sunset

Ah maybe that's why you were unimpressed with the colors. Usually whites and daks peak late September so you were a bit late. And I'm not sure, did we get them from different sites?

Stunning landscape there nei. Sure it may not be as dramatic as other places but there is a certain beauty there.

Photos from 10/23/2019
Taken outside my work, up the hill on my lunchtime walk. City of Pittsburgh and UHI at full peak, if not a smidge beyond now
On the way home, about 10 mins from my house. My area is really starting to look past peak now As much as I'm looking forward to winter, its always sad to see the colors go.
