I know Fall doesn't start in the northern Hemisphere for another 3 days (Spring is 3 days from the southern Hemisphere), but I was scrolling through some pictures on my phone and I couldn't help myself.

Apparently those have been part of the traditional local architecture since the stone age when roaming tribes used them as shelters and they were still in active use as summer kitchens in the western parts of the country until the 19-20th century. Their name püstkoda comes from an ancient Finno-Ugric word koda, meaning dwelling or chamber.

Damn. Trees are way less green down there compared to here Hiromant LOL, trees in Umea are greener than in Jüri? Trees in near Tallinn can not be less green than in Umea. Hiromant is wanting to make his (delicate (nazi)) propaganda describing himself living in conditions what exists somewhere in Norilsk.

Even the arctic is greener now than when Hiromant took those pictures in Tallinn

Arctic- why should be 10 degrees more northern places should be more green? In the city there are also rust and fungy. And what "you guys"?! I am a separate poster, i have no connections with hiromant, I don't think I feel any "we guys" feelings here. I live in my place not in his place.

Your goal is to show that you live somewhere in Norilsk or Kolyma. Vist your doctor.

It's remarkably green for how autumny it feels right now. This was yesterday and it was like 16'C. Still looks like August. Some "tassels of yellow" on lots of birches, but trees that are uniformally or from a distance noticeably yellow are extremely rare.

Canyon in the Pyrenees Nice cirque, crappy photo Loads of fern Some village there Nice view from this house. I wanted to hike all the way to the pass between the two peaks to the left see what's beyond. Looking at a map, it's Spain, so bulls, paella dishes and sunburned tourists.

I went hiking in the mountains and highlands about 100 km south of Trondheim today Sep 8th. Fall colours at 900 m ASL
1205 m / 4000 ft ASL
Snow has fallen above some 1400 m ASL /4600 ft
Around 850 m / 2700 ft ASL
Much less fall colors at 700 m ASL. Nice waterfall
But the plants on the bogs at 700 m have turned, they expect early ground frost

I thought the Norwegian treeline wad around 800m ASL if even that. On the fourth picture there seem to be trees at 1000-1100m ASL according to your given altitude.

The fourth picture is where the creek empties from the lake Skarvatnet in Oppdal. Just checked again and the lake is at 865 m ASL. So to be correct the altitude is ~870 m / 2850 ft. The trees in the background I would guess is growing up to ca 1000 - 1050 m m ASL. This corresponds well with the treeline in this area. The treeline is creeping up the mountains.
Just three weeks ago, a news article about a researcher finding the new highest altitude tree in Norway: 1404 m ASL in Jotunheimen link

The highest spruce is at a little over 1100m, but I don't know about the birches which tend to be higher. Interesting to note, however, is that two oak saplings were found at 1055m ASL at 63°N in Sweden. The northernmost grove of oak at sea level is at 61°N lol.
