Very nice here in NYC today, 68 F (20 C) with a 51 F (10.6 C) dew point as of 10 am with peaks of sun and a nice breeze. Today will have a high of 76 F (24.4 C) with mostly cloudy skies. Tomorrow is looking somewhat raw for early September standards up here, high of 72 F (22.2 C) predicted with showers and wind. Tomorrow’s weather is from the edge of Dorian, interrupting a sunny dry stretch. Can notice stratus for the storm already. Tropical storm making it cooler due to the thick clouds tomorrow. We’re so far from it it won’t even bring tropical humidity; dew forecast to not reach 60. Thinking of going to the beach Saturday morning to watch the big waves, but the storm is so far out to sea it won’t be that impressive, montauk in eastern Long Island would be, but that’s 120 miles away

Need to keep an eye on what comes after Dorian. Models showing something coming up the east coast, but those projections are so far out and subject to change.

^^ Fuck that's one intensely hot night for the season! None of that here, quite the contrary. Strong UHI this morning, but no tropical night, contrary to last week. First freeze in frost hollowz:

9am 14C and sunny. Wouldn't even have the faintest idea that a hurricane is coming. clouded over here from Dorian. Looks clouds will arrive soon there. Doesn't have a circular shape to the northeast, maybe they're not "true' hurricane clouds forecasts have been very good for Dorian so seems like a landfall as a weak Cat 1 near Halifax is what will happen

Only 66 F with a 58 F dew point as of 11 am with a nice breeze, feels beautiful outside. Isn't predicted to go above 70 F (21.1 C) today either! Great early September weather.

^Yeah cold in Central Norway valleys and mountains. Many or even most of those cold lows are high altitude, like the -5.5C at 1894 m/ 6000 ft. Our airport had low 7.1C last night. Røros (625 m) down to -1.3C, Oppdal (604 m) low of 2.5C. Røros has several freezing lows already this Sep, down to -2C.

It smells like those first daylight frosts in October right now. Noticed it while biking to the gym. When I met my friend there he said "Do you smell that?" "What?" "It smells like winter" he said and I was like "I was just about to say that"

Gonna be cold heavy rain here as it pulls in air from the north. Kinda disappointed about that but it should be good. I'll be at Cape Egmont tomorrow and staying a few nights there, which is in the hurricane warning area.

0.7'C last night at the airport. I think we had a 0.7'C low in early August though so not a new coldest for the season I don't think.

I wouldn't mind some cold rain, nice autumnal feeling. Looks like you'll have some fun with the weather out in Cape Egmont though.
