It actually warmed up and hit 50 (10 c) at 8 PM, several hours after the sun set. Interesting day. 50ยฐF here at 11 pm, has been steady since about noontime with a high of 52ยฐF (using the Central Park station). Barely supposed to drop tonight. Approaching cold front and warm follows the ahead of a cold front. Cloudy, as often happens with any wet airmass in November. If it were sunny, we'd have a chance of hitting 60ยฐF. forecast high of 55ยฐF. Map of fronts tomorrow

Cold and wet pattern should persist for at least the next two weeks for the western part of the country CFS model for December NOAA's forecast shows warmer than normal for much of the country in December, especially the Gulf and S Atlantic states... Hopefully it's wrong. Not to sound like some moron conspiracy theorist, but NOAA's long-range forecast seems to always default to warmth. They were showing a warm November as well at this point last month, and we see how that turned out.....very rarely, if ever, have I ever seen them actually forecast a chilly/cold month lol. IMO, no way will 90% of the country be blowtorched this December. Anyways, 46 F (7.8 C) this morning here, with mostly cloudy skies. I'm gonna be headed south today, where I'm stopping tonight (McDonough, GA) has 70/55 temperatures forecast , gross for late November. Their averages are about 63/40 for Nov 22nd.

Warmed all the way up to 52 (11 c) in the middle of the night before the cold front came through. Classic winter pattern where it warms up overnight and then a cold front hits in the early morning.
Down to 35 (2 c) now with flurries and 30 mph winds.
Yesterday ended up at 50/28, which was 0.4 f above average, the first above average day of the month.

Mild and humid this morning here in McDonough GA, 59 F (15 C) with a 58 F (14.4 C) dew point and rain. Temps should climb up into the 70s on my drive down to South FL with perhaps some 80s in Orlando points southward.

This month's hi/lo so far; 5.0C/0.7C. 2.9C mean. Only 1C above the 91-18 average, so rather disappointing.

Hasn't reached 80F here since since Oct 20, and it would be nice if we can go until March before reaching it. I'm kind of concerned we may reach 80F next week.

northeast snow cover; even with the cold last week, not much except in the higher elevations of Vermont and New Hampshire. A warm rainstorm will get rid of most of the rest in a couple days via www.weather.gov/nerfc/snow

Mild and humid this morning here in McDonough GA, 59 F (15 C) with a 58 F (14.4 C) dew point and rain. Temps should climb up into the 70s on my drive down to South FL with perhaps some 80s in Orlando points southward. So yesterday, the temp started off at 58 F (14.4 C), then about 20 miles north of Macon, GA, it climbed up to 60 F (15.6 C) and stayed in the 60s and steadily climbed and reached 70 F (21.1 C) by the time I hit Tifton, GA, and then remained in the 70s but steadily climbing and hit 80 F (26.7 C) somewhere between Gainesville and Ocala, FL. From then on, temps remained steady in the 79 - 83 F (26.1 - 28.3 C) range. The day before, the temps were in the 40s all the way until I was north of Asheville, NC, where it hit 50 F and steeply climbed up to 63 F (17.2 C) while driving by Asheville, once I got into the rural and mountainous areas SW of Asheville temps fell back into the 50s, and even dropped into the upper 40s through the high elevations of the Nantahala National Forest, then temps climbed back up into the 50s when I went into Northern GA, and stayed in the 50s and hit 60 F around Gainesville, GA, and temps climbed up into the 63 - 65 F (17.2 - 18.3 C) range once I get into the Atlanta metro area, and stayed in that range for the remainder of the drive. Lowest temp I encountered was 41 F (5 C) in SW Virginia, just a few minutes west of the I-77/I-81 intersection, highest temp I encountered was 84 F (28.9 C) around the Yeehaw Junction area in Florida on the Turnpike. Anyhow, warm and humid this morning here, 73 F (22.8 C) with a 67 F (19.4 C) dew point, headed up to a warm 84 F (28.9 C) today with mostly sunny skies. Gonna have a cold front passing tonight, and temps will drop to 59 F (15 C).

Big snowstorm in the central plains yesterday. Hereโs some snow totals:
Boulder, CO: 20.7โ Cheyenne, WY: 12.7โ Fort Collins, CO: 11.6โ Denver, CO: 8.5โ Goodland, KS: 7.5โ North Platte, NE: 7.0โ
Widespread 6-10โ throughout Nebraska and Colorado.
Here it got up to 61 (16 c) around noon before a cold front came through. Next 10 days look pretty wintry with 20s/30s for highs and snow.

It was very warm this morning too, before the front showed up and dropped it to normal. Lots of winter warnings in the western half of the country. Every western state except Washington has a winter storm warning somewhere, and Montana has a blizzard warning. This is the same general area that was hit at the end of September. Unlike last time, temperatures will be well below freezing, maybe below 0F, but they could still get a foot of snow. www.weather.gov/
