Our forecast according to TWC, showing the 95 F (35 C) high for Wednesday , after that record-breaking day summer comes to a quick end though. Same for us on Wednesday, but every day until then will also be in the mid 90s. Our record high for October is 93 so it looks like that will be broken easily.

Returned yesterday from a trip to London/Paris/Normandy. Enjoyed the weather while there. High temps mostly around 70F. Arrived in London last Thursday to blue dome skies and low humidity; similar weather the following Friday in Paris. The only warm day was last Saturday when I went to Normandy with temps getting into the 80's and a touch of humidity. Periods of rain Sunday through the remainder of the trip. Went back to London Sunday night and spent the rest of the trip there. Heavy downpour Tuesday afternoon after I walked out of the Churchill War Rooms (I even heard 3 loud rumbles of thunder before the rain let up).
Now back to summer weather here in Louisiana...

Milwaukee will not drop below 52F/11C this September, and that was on the 5th. Since then the lowest was 56F/13C. The last temp in the 40s was June 3rd, and it could go 4 consecutive months without anything below 50.
If this streak keeps up for 10 more days, it will tie the record of 126 days. The lowest temp in the forecast is 48 on Thursday, so it might happen.
Outside of the metro area, most places saw some lows in the 40s in June, August, and September. The two places I checked only dropped to 53 in July.

The early winter storm is making its way across the high plains. Calgary is currently under a snowfall warning, with 15 to 25 cm of snow expected by Monday afternoon. It looks like Saskatoon will be getting a few cm as well, but nothing like Southern Alberta.
It's kind of funny, until last year I had never seen snow in September and now this will be my second consecutive September with significant snowfall.

About 10% of Kentucky is now in severe drought. 3 months ago there was none. With no rain in the forecast this week, it will likely get worse.

Been quite hot lately. I believe Sunday's high was within 0.5 C of the September record:

NOAA showing drought expansion across a good part of the SE US in October. Got some rainfall in central Louisiana from T.S. Imelda while I was on vacation which helped a bit with the dryness here, but no rain last week. Hoping that maybe the warmth is overstated in the forecast below.

We did it! Despite the fact that it snowed for over 24 hours straight in Saskatoon, we did not drop below freezing at any time and thus have had no subfreezing temperatures in all of September! Pretty impressive considering how cold the last few days have been and the fact that we had a forecast low of -5C a few days back.

We just had the first freezing overnight low at the first October night, 9 days earlier than 81-2010 average.
Currently On my way to Arctic Norway, which is warmer today...

Very warm morning today, 67 F (19.4 C) will be hot with an 87 F (30.6 C) high predicted for today. July weather.
I just keep telling myself only three more days of heat and then it looks like it's gone for good.

I probably shouldn't be hoping for a direct impact from Post-tropical storm Lorenzo but I really hope it does! Need some interesting weather up in here! According to this looks like Northwestern Britain and Ireland will get hammered by those gales. Rain spreading westwards too.

97°F at LEX today breaks the old October record of 93°F from 1941

Wildcat destroyed the old record! NWS says the low in the USA today was 1F/-17C in Cut Bank, MT. Almost zero! The cold spot in Canada today was Claresholm, Alberta. It's in southern Alberta, 50N and about 1000m elevation, near Lethbridge. It is not somewhere that should ever be the cold spot in Canada. 1000m sounds like a lot, but Calgary and Lethbridge are at similar elevation. Calgary reached -8C today. Lethbridge -13 to -16 depending on the station.

Even worse today lol, 73 F (22.8 C) this morning, headed up to 94 F (34.4 C) today which is equivalent to our all-time October record high! I hope we break it, if it's gonna be annoyingly hot might as well be record breaking. Today is the worst of it though, looking solidly autumnal (by our standards) after tomorrow. So just need to get through today and then we're in the clear.

I’ve experienced upper 80’s/90’s in October before, but the humidity is always low, today the dew point is in the 70’s so this is a first for me (for October).
I belong somewhere where these temps are a normal occurrence this time of year, it feels like Christmas.

Up to 92 F (33.3 C) already at noon, predicted high is 95 F (35.0 C). Think we might even overtake that.
