I thought something was a bit off. I'll have to edit it.

Average high is a bit above normal, but low is below normal. Normal is 88.6/67.4F (31.4/19.7C). 2nd driest on record. Lowest max: 82F (27.7C) Highest min: 73F (22.8C) Days 90F or above: 20 Max dewpoint: 76F (24.4C) Avg dewpoint: 66F (18.9C) Min dewpoint: 48F (8.9C) Thunder days: 1 Overall, a pretty boring month. At least temps were fairly comfortable the first half of the month.

Those countries would have misleading rainfall stats, as anything below 1mm would be eliminated. I think what I'm going to do is use 0.4mm from the BOM data for the rain days, and just the official total for the total. In my July, it took 12 days to record 8mm of rain, 3 of those days were 0.2mm, I suspect those were just dew. June and July were exceptionally dewy. My PWS starts recording at 0.3mm so it might make it more comparable if I use 0.4mm for the official cutoff. I use 1mm. This September there were 3 days with below this threshold, totaling 0.7mm. --- Very craptastic month here. Pretty much the same weather for 3 weeks. We even got a sub 10C day on the 30th. 4th time since 1990 when September fails to hit 20C, and the lowest yearly record high since 1962. The awful year continues. All harvest except potatoes was the weakest since 1987. ogimet.com/cgi-bin/gsynres?lang=en&ind=02773&ndays=31&ano=2017&mes=10&day=01&hora=20&ord=REV&Send=Send

A very mediocre month. Contrasts sharply from last year. That September was nicer than any of our summer months this year...

It was a volatile month and interesting month weather wise in Santa Maria. The 1st 3 days were in the 100's with even a low of 71F and popped up thunderstorms occurred on a couple days. The weather then cooled off during the middle of the month and the lows plummeted in the 40's around the equinox time period. The weather warmed up again at the end of the month but it was a dry heat instead. March and April's average low this year was cooler than February's average low this year.

This year was the first ever in recorded history where Sweden's record low was lower in August than in September.

The lowest temperature was 5.4 °C, very close to your lowest temp. I don't know the precp days, have to look up the daily data. Overall, barely warmer than in Scandinavia. Here is the whole year:

Sydney, driest September on record, also recorded the hottest September day in 17 years. Nights were reasonably cool though, with a mean max of 23.3, you'd expect nights to be about a degree warmer than they ended up being. I expect it's because the humidity was so low. Bankstown, it was out during the heatwave, but I've estimated the temps. Should be good enough. Melbourne Brisbane Perth Adelaide Hobart Canberra Darwin Tokyo Hong Kong, lowest of 25.3C! Hasn't dropped below 24C for four months.

So, finally here's Norrköping. A very gloomy, mild-ish September without any temperature extremes either way.

Wow, your July was very stable. An average high of 22.5C with a record high of just 25.6C. It was. The first summer I've ever felt it was parked at the average the vast majority of the time. Unfortunately winds were stronger than usual so many 21-22C days didn't feel as warm as they probably should have felt. What was remarkable though was that July ended up being a mediterranean month in spite of those cool temps dominating. Normally a relative drought is a result of a complete high-pressure dominance and 25-26C avg highs with frequent 30C days. By early August I realised we wouldn't beat the 28C double-header weekend of May this year. It was a remarkable summer though in the regard that five months reached 12C means but the summer feel was rather diluted in spite of that. Here's the Accuweather readings for July here: www.accuweather.com/en/se/nykoping/309679/july-weather/309679?monyr=7/1/2017&view=tableThey were 1C off on a lower end a good few times there but it really does speak volumes. It's rather seldom that a 22C summer has so many days in the 20-23C range as this one.
