Prime example of rime staying all day long and building up from day to day @logan5 Santa says hello! Wouldn't walk on it... Fuck. This is the most frightening pictures I've ever seen on these seasonal threads.

Being at your latitude I'm sure it lasted a good amount as well. Beautiful!

A picture of the pearlescent (nacreous) clouds taken in Kiruna. That is otherworldly. Shit. I want to visit Kiruna in January one of these years.

Neat sunsets continue The snow cover is still just a couple of centimeters, though the snow is very icy so it's melting really slowly. Snow's gone underneath all trees and next to buildings and stuff. It's going to be very close whether we'll be able to melt the snow cover within this month or not. I'm a little pessimistic though and doubt the mild weather we're having is going to be enough.

From earlier this week in North Vancouver. One of the rare days with relatively clear weather...

Pretty much the only photos I've taken so far this winter. Christmas shopping.

There's only a partial snow cover now. A fuckton of ice though. A very nice sunset too. Our driveway is so fucking slippery holy shit. There's gravel there in the bottom left corner of the image, but everywhere else has a wet mirror finish.

This album was taken last winter, I uploaded it to CD but Voloschlong zapped it, along with my account. So I'll repost it here. I started in the town and walked to some medieval ruins on top of a mountain. It's a good illustration of the altitude affecting marginal winter conditions.

Doesn't look like Wales at all, maybe somewhere in the Lake District.

Doesn't look like Wales at all, maybe somewhere in the Lake District. I've always thought the Lake District looks very similar to parts of north Wales.

A freezing morning after a foggy night. Also includes the full moon.

It doesn't seem like the permanent snow cover will begin before at the very least the 20th of January in Umeå this year judging from the forecast. Must be some kind of record.
