Mount Buller (victoria) has broken it's wettest April on record. Average rainfall of 105.0mm with 225.4mm having fallen until yesterday. With the approach and arrival of todays front the station recevied 16.2mm before 9am this morning and 85.4mm since meaning 343.4mm has fallen over the month. The previous wettest April was 1990 with 253.9mm of rain. This means the month still has 1.5 days more of forecast rain and it's already beaten the previous record by 89.5mm! Thredbo Top has an outside chance of breaking its record wettest April. So far (including today since 9am), Thredbo Top has received 280.2mm of precipitation meaning it only needs another 70mm of rain to fall tonight. It's definitely possible with how much extra moisture has been recorded. There's also a chance it won't break because BoM records the rain of the 30th April after 9am as rain on the 1st of May. So even if it does record all that rainfall throughout tomorrow, a decent amount will be marked down as having fallen on May 1 and therefore not break the record The record wettest is 1974 with 349.5mm.

Warmer and more humid today, overnight low was 73 F (22.8 C) and it's 82 F (27.8 C) with a 65 F (18.3 C) dew point as of 9 am. Today's predicted high is 86 F (30 C) but I think we'll surpass that easily.

No snow here just yet (3Β° C rain), but a good covering this morn at Hotham Alpine Resort (1,700 m): Shouldn't be too long from now until the cold airmass reaches me.

Reached 19c in Montreal today, but only 14c in NYC and just 11c here at KISP.
Seems like WI and IL were the coolest places in the lower 48 today though.

Today was a pleasant surprise, the high was 68 (20 c) and it was dry except a brief, barely not able sprinkle.
This was the warmest temp of the month so far and ends the below average streak at 15 days.
I of course went for a long walk with the nice weather. Spring is slowly progressing, Magnolias are about to bloom, cherries are blooming, some other flowering trees are beginning to bloom and more and more big trees are getting shades of green. Dandelions have also sprung up in my yard.
April 14-28th ended up as the 4th coldest ever and the coldest since 1928.

Here is the Weather Channel's outlook for the 7th Month of November in the US Northeast Can they be wrong? P.S. April is below average in Latvia and May looks not good as well. Oh certainly. Its just a prediction based on a bunch of models - surely could change.
Its just frustrating because Winter NEVER came (I love winter), and November has not left. April highs are running -6F, so far April has been 54.4F/34.5F here, much more similar to November or March - And only 1 day above 70F so far which is quite rare by this point in the year.
Nov 2019 43.6F/24.3F - Mean 33.9F (7.4F below average) Dec 2019 39.7F/24.1F - Mean 31.9F (1.3F above average) Jan 2020 38.2F/23.5F - Mean 30.9F (5.2F above average) Feb 2020 38.2F/21.0F - Mean 29.6F (1.2F above average) Mar 2020 51.1F/30.6F - Mean 40.9F (3.0F above average) Apr 2020 54.4F/34.5F - Mean 44.4F (-5.2F below average)
Literally every month of the last 6 has been within 15F, which is kind of crazy considering January's mean is 25.7F and April should be 49.7F - Nearly 25F difference in means.
Its frustrating because I love winter to start early and end promptly and have a nice spring but so often anymore we rarely get that. Cold late falls, warm winters, and cold springs making it seem like a winterless cold season that extends for the majority of the year.

It is quite similar here with a very mild winter and now it is a cold spring... Still, even cold spring is spring, the daylight and sunshine makes a huge difference for me compared to winter. I am definitely less depressed. I hope all the cold forecasts are wrong and there will be a warm and sunny May!

Orly clocked another 25Β°C+ high today. Towering cumulus clouds, rumbles of thunder and a positively tropical 15Β°C dew point @ Paris-Montsouris. :-) Couple lil downpours here, the smell of wet earth is amazingly strong. Cadeau 's area got nothing methinks. Nope, nothing happened on last Monday but unfortunately, I just heard thunder sound for the first time of year here right now

Here is the Weather Channel's outlook for the 7th Month of November in the US Northeast Jesus fuck, that is something I really did not need to see. How much longer can this cold pattern last??? At least May is warm enough that well below average should at least have an average high over 60...
