Spring? It's still winter here, with even colder days in the forecast; colder than anything since January. Besides the cold blip in January, it's effectively trended colder since then. Hmm... And there was one day with snow falling but not accumulating this month.

Was forecast snow today, but we've only had rain! Feels good. Still a solid snow cover of a couple inches in the city proper. The large agricultural fields (with higher wind speeds) might be snow free now though considering they only had 4cm two days ago. We've got a day with over 10cm of snow in the forecast though

Cold breeze from the sea? yes, the dew points rising to at the same time as the temperatures are a good sign it's from Maritime air. Ocean temperatures in the low 40s right now, close to what the dews rose to

That's a ton of rain, must be a muddy mess especially since it's happening in winter. We had a small forest fire recently in the area with the very dry mild air following a rather dry winter. Wettest winter month on record in Amherst is 269 mm; extremely wet weather is less common in winter. Ugh, fire was started by a diesel MTA train www.recordonline.com/news/20200310/brush-fire-put-out-on-breakneck-ridge

The first 10 days of March were 10.0 f above average. Thatโs the warmest since 2000 and the 7th warmest all time.
Minor cold snap this weekend then back to 50s next week. About fucking time thereโs a decent March.
In just 10 days, thereโs already more 50+ days than all of March 2014, 2015 and 2018.

Warmest in the UK was 16.5c yesterday at Monks Wood, Cambridgeshire.

Interesting. Looks like the whole of the east coast and the south had a massive pre-warmup whilst parts of the west including SoCal and around the TX OK panhandle are still struggling to see spring-like temps.
