Apparently yesterday was the first day of year hitting 30Β°C. Probably my area reached only around 28~29Β°C at highest.

Looking back at the bitterly cold second decade of May in Latvia - almost 6 degrees Celsius below average in Riga. Such big temperature anomalies are very seldom for the warmer half of the year.

I wish the wind would calm down a little bit, this is like the fourth day in a row where it's absolutely howling.

Yet another hot one. Unless next week is dramatically cooler, this will be not only the warmest May, but the warmest month as far back as online records go (which is only to 2016, but still!).

^ Wow, those lows! That's insane! What were the dew points like?
Pretty unremarkable but nice in Saskatoon at the moment, mostly highs in the 20s in the coming week which is nice. Got just shy of 30mm of rain last week so that's been good.

High today was 83 (28 c), the warmest temp since October 1st.
Today was also the first 80 of the year. On average the first 80 is April 21, so this is over a month late and the latest since 1995.
Forecast has upper 80s the next few days before returning to below average but at least by then below average means upper 60s so not more cold bullshit.

Moosonee reached 30c (86f) today. This is a place that had seven ice days earlier this month. Past 12 hours. Moosonee is the number on the southernmost part of the Hudson Bay, slightly to the left side of it.
