Yeah, London is better for storms than either of those cities (which isn’t saying much). Vancouver and Seattle have better winters though. They are much, much wetter in winter than London. Yeah they are. Also snowier, colder, sunnier, and more variable.

Vancouver and Seattle are very much high-latitude climates, i.e. > 45th parallel. London even moreso. Also, just LMAO @ GayJ's "but muh variability!" argument for Vancouver and Seattle. No, you down syndrome ape, they are not "more variable than London". GayJ keeps throwing around the word "variable", without even knowing the climatic patterns of London.

High-latitude is from 60°-90°, so they are not high latitude climates.
Mid-latitude is from 30-60.

High-latitude is from 60°-90°, so they are not high latitude climates. Mid-latitude is from 30-60. That's far too vague and broad. Mid-latitude is more like 35°–50°; high-latitude 50°–66°; then polar is anything > 66°. So Vancouver and Seattle would be in the upper-mid latitudes, which is basically high-latitude.

High temps in Lower Saxony on May 31. Lingen once again looks suspicious. Remember that was the town which recorded 42.6 °C last year and got approved by the DWD. But I think it's safe to say this record should be disregarded and the actual German all-time record should be 41.2 °C recorded in Duisburg and Tönisvorst.

NYC area under an Enhanced Risk, but watch as all of these storms slide right to our south, it always happens.

The storms skimmed by me. I could see dark clouds to my north and east but I didn't get anything

NYC area under an Enhanced Risk, but watch as all of these storms slide right to our south, it always happens. Yup. Philadelphia and Central/South Jersey got slammed while we got sprinkles. This trend has become so predictable in recent years. Ground is bone dry, it’s beginning to look a lot like Guildford, UK around here. Edit: 2 hours later we’re finally getting some action, I can’t recall the last time we had a thunderstorm but it was at least 2 months ago. Most thunder + lightning I’ve seen all year.

My forecast and temps certainly back that astute observation up. My avg low forecast for the next 7 days here is practically 0C...
