Big East-west gradient today. Buffalo hit 74, Rochester 69, Syracuse 63 and Albany 51.
The morning was sunny and it reached 69 (21 c) around 2 PM before some showers moved through. First warm rain of the year and I heard a few rumbles of thunder. Unfortunately not a thunderstorm though like places farther west got.
The rain only lasted an hour and itβs back up to 63 (17 c) and sunny now at 5 PM.
The 10-day forecast improved significantly with dry 50s replacing 40s and rain.

Snowing in much of SW France: Another weird dew point distribution right now. Currently in the -10s here; the ground is becoming hard as a rock despite the rather recent precip:

Freezing today. We reached a high of 3C at midnight and the temperature has steadily dropped since, down to -4C with slate grey overcast this afternoon. Our forecast high for the day was originally 6C but has been downgraded to 2C (which we technically surpassed overnight) and I'm very doubtful we'll get back up there today.
The rest of the week is solidly below freezing, with forecast highs of -8C and -9C on the first two days of April (and lows of -18C and -19C on those same days). The Weather Network's 14-day-trend shows a slight warmup to just-above-freezing highs after that, but with only three mean temperatures above freezing in the coming two weeks. Maybe the forecast will change to something nicer in the coming days, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
At this point it's really starting to look like a slightly milder repeat of 2018. I can only hope we have a repeat of 2018's late spring and summer, but somehow I doubt that's going to be the case.

Quite warm this morning, 84 F (28.9 C) with a 66 F (18.9 C) dew point as of 11 am under SW Winds. SW winds means hot here, predicted high is 93 F (33.9 C) with sunshine, I hope we overshoot the forecast and hit 95 F or 96 F!

Lol, coldest low all winter last night, with a low of -11.4C. Rediculous. Didn't affect the hardiness zone, which remains at 8a.
But I guess that put spring progression on hold.

This morning was cool compared to recent mornings, 63 F (17.2 C) which is really just about average for the start of April. It's 77 F already at 10 am, heading up to 82 F (27.8 C) today.

Yay April! Crazy cold, what's the record low max/record low for Saskatoon in April? Like -15/-25? I remember in April 2018 you getting some crazy cold weather, like January/February like temps.

The all-time record low is -28.3C. Not sure about the record low max as Environment Canada doesn't keep those stats, but I think -15C is probably a pretty good guess. We had a high of -13.2C yesterday and that's the coldest April high I've been able to find in recent years, in 2018 there was only one high below -10C and I've found none in all the other Aprils I've looked through (mostly in the last 20 years). So yesterday's high is probably pretty close to record-setting. Subfreezing highs in general are just not very common at all in April, even when the month ends up below average, let alone highs below -10C.

We hit 92F/33C a week ago Thursday, and this morning we got down to freezing. I wonder how often we get a freeze after a 90F/32C day. Crazy cold, what's the record low max/record low for Saskatoon in April? Like -15/-25? I remember in April 2018 you getting some crazy cold weather, like January/February like temps. Subfreezing highs in general are just not very common at all in April, even when the month ends up below average, let alone highs below -10C. Huh, April in Saskatoon is similar to February in OKC. I would've thought it was colder.

65 F (18.3 C) low this morning, currently 67 F (19.4 C) and sunny. Nice weather. Headed up to a seasonable 83 F (28.3 C) today. Look how cold it is in Chadron, NE this morning. Currently -9 F (-22.8 C), they had a low of -10 F (-23.3 C). For reference, their predicted overnight low was 9 F (-12.8 C), so it got nearly 20 F colder than predicted! w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KCDR.htmlThey also had a high of 71 F (21.7 C) on Wednesday, so an 81 F (45 C) drop in a little over 36 hours.

Pretty warm here today. Low was 68 F (20 C) at FXE (Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport) and 70 F (21.1 C) at HWO. Up to 79 F (26.1 C) as of 10 am, headed up to 87 F (30.6 C) with a very slight chance of showers.
Tomorrow and Monday have a better chance of showers - around 30% both days.
