cleanest air in LA in decades; AJ1013 thinks anything over AQI 50 is gross, don't think he would be very happy in the 80s there in the summer. Don't think it'd have been good for bicycling in the summer current skies

It's been below 45F here for about 42 hours at this point, and I doubt it'll get any warmer than 42F today. After setting a personal record for hottest March high on the 26th, I set a record for coldest April high yesterday, and today comes in second.

Lows of 28+ C and highs of 35+ C for a week straight. Eventually this patern of hot and dry is going to give way to hot and wet (and stormy!) but it hasn't happened yet. Thunderstorms were forecast for this morning but didn't happen.

Warm this morning already, currently 79 F (26.1 C) as of 9 am, headed up to 84 F (28.9 C) today with a chance of afternoon showers.
Tomorrow has a chance of it not going above 80 F, also another day with a decent chance of showers.

Some large diurnals in France today. For example Romorantin's hi/lo were 23.6/-2.1°C (74/28°F). That pic of LA is the spitting image of the interior Nice county.

Without the Hollywood sign, I would have never guessed that was in LA!

More snow today after the 5cm or so we had yesterday. Our highs are finally (mostly) going above freezing starting tomorrow, but only just barely, and no highs getting within 3C of average in the weekly forecast.
Our average high/low for the first four days of April is -10C/-20C. LOL. It's only four days so doesn't mean much but still pretty crazy to see at this time of the year.

Humid this morning here. 77 F (25 C) with a 71 F (21.7 C) dew point, got some rain overnight and it's still cloudy. We got a chance of showers later on with a 20% chance, high is predicted at 83 F (28.3 C).

A snowfall warning is currently in effect in Saskatoon, with 10 to 15 cm of snow expected. I believe that will be our biggest snowfall of the entire fall/winter/early spring season if it actually ends up being that much.
On the plus side, it's quite mild out right now, only -1C and expected to go up to 0C, with no more significantly subfreezing highs in the forecast (just a couple of -2's later in the week) so at least the severe cold is over.

Beautiful spring day today. 56/29 with sunny skies (13/-2 c).
Daffodils, crocuses, tulips and other flowers are blooming now. Even some hedges and Forsythias are starting to bloom. Trees are still bare but some have buds.

Warm and humid this morning here, 83 F (28.3 C) with a 68 F (20 C) dew point, today's high is predicted at 84 F (28.9 C) with a 20% chance of showers but I think we'll easily surpass the predicted high.
Really hot weather making a return! 90+ F weather is gonna be the rule for the next week or so.

63f and pcldy forecast today, dropping to 45f at night. Not great but I will ride my bike.
Next 7 days after today feature mostly mid 50s here in central LI, spot on average max. Half the days have rain forecast; the other half are pcldy. Can't complain too much. It's not below average, but at least it's not above average either.

Front moved through us today: temp was almost 14C at 13:30, at 16:30 it was 6C and light rain. 5C now.
17.5C was recorded in Hattula, which is a new all-time record for 7 April.

Maximum temperatures of 7th April. It can be seen here that, as usually, non-official stations or hydrometric stations are more prone to record higher temperatures than official wmo linked weather stations. I marked the official weather stations with a circle. lol that +25.6, it was not that warm.

It was 92F°/33°C 12 days ago, 32°F/0°C five days ago, and 86°F/30°C today. That's Oklahoma for ya! But the latest run of the GFS has a low of 24°F/-4°C on the 16th, which would set a record for the latest it's ever gotten that cold. It would also bring horrific devastation to our already fully-leafed out vegetation. It also has us not going above 70°F/21°C from tomorrow until the end of the run, during the time in which our average high rises from 70°F/21°C to 74°F/23°C. Obviously it's so far out that that level of cold is not likely to verify, but still, it seems like we're entering into a colder pattern. If we do get serious cold, it'll be the second April in three years with well-below normal cold. And I'm sure we'll get a 2018 repeat with a hot May.
