Definitely not, tbh I wouldn't even enjoy -60 F (-51 C), just something interesting. Also, -80 F isn't really something that happens every year in Winter Haven, more like once every 5 years. Average annual low is -70 F (-57 C), a more "typical" cold snap is lows of about -55 F (-48 C) or so. I could enjoy down to about -35 F (-37 C), that's why the coldest "average" low of my dream climate is about -33 F or -34 F (-37 C). I experienced -35 F back in January 2004 in Upstate NY and it was doable outside with proper clothing up to about 20-30 minutes. I have a strong affinity for cold though and am heat sensitive. I honestly put interest over comfort every time. I try to combine interest and comfort in my dream climate. I think it’s pretty interesting but almost all the temperatures are still within a range I could enjoy with the exception of some cold winter lows. I’ve been outside in -2 (-19 C) and ~117 (47 C) and didn’t mind either one, so I don’t think having “interesting” weather, at least temp-wise, would come at the sacrifice of comfort very often for me.

My extremes are 108 F (42 C) and -35 F (-37 C) and I found the -35 F a lot better, even though the 108 wasn't that bad because it was in late summer in Las Vegas, so it was a dry heat with a sun angle that wasn't TOO brutal. I understand your view though. Some comfort is definitely needed, though for me I find I only really need comfortable or mild weather a few months out of the year. I don't mind taking measures to battle the cold and vice versa. I'm more of the Jim Cantore type who guys outside during heavy thunderstorms and wind to experience it, and the type to go outside in extreme cold or heat to experience that, even if just for a few minutes.

What's December looking like in Steelernationville lol? It’s looking like a cold snap to start off the month-well mostly a return to average conditions, but a cold snap compared to recent weather. The first snow since early November is likely early next week. After that, models are showing an average to above average month, but not as anomalous as November was. I really should come up with a name for it...

^ You should make there be a big cold snap around Christmas, that would be awesome and would suit the atmosphere.

Actually, I'll make that a thing. The previous month's monthly summary will always come out on the 4th of the month.

12/3: -59/-70; Extremely cold with ice fog
12:20 PM
Temp: -72 F (-58 C)
Conditions: Clear with Ice Fog
Wind: Calm
Dew Point: -73 F (-58 C)
Snow Depth: 128.4" (326 cm)
Temperature dropped a lot more overnight than predicted, it dropped to -79 F (-62 C) when the predicted low was -70 F (-57 C). This was due to a big inversion that set up overnight, draining cool air to the valleys (Winter Haven is quite hilly/mountainous). Temps will start rising quite rapidly towards the late afternoon and overnight though.
**RECORD REPORT**
The low temperature of -79 F (-62 C) set a record for new daily record low for December 4th in Winter Haven, beating the old record of -78 F (-61 C) set back in 1976. Temperatures dropped to extreme levels in outlying suburbs too, with the temperature range about -80 F to -95 F this morning, the colder part of the range being recorded in northern, more rural areas.
