This past winter in Winter Haven has been far snowier than normal, so the snowpack is way thicker than usual which is leading to severe flooding. In a normal spring, the snow will normally melt off by early May but this year it might last until the end of May/beginning of June. The recent warm and stormy weather is for sure aiding in the melting, although a big cold front is forecast later tonight which will bring snow into the area in a couple of days. The end of next week and the week after has quite consistent highs in the 50s and 60s however, which will aid in the melting for sure.
