Such a nice day today. We've had sunny days before, but they've usually had very thin clouds at the horizon. This is the first day in a very long time that has had a complete blue dome sky, even at the horizon, and the resulting March sunshine was so nice, especiallt with yesterday's powdery snow.

^^ That's what early spring should be like! <3 Pic of the flooding Maine river near Angers, from the train between Nantes and Paris yesterday: Did a short bike ride in the eastern outskirts of Paris today:

Some pics I took this morning. More deciduous trees are leafing though some areas still look fairly bare. Here are some additional pics in the spoiler.

Some pictures from my sister. They had a very sunny and warm day back home (her report was like "24°C!111!!!), and the cat had fun at looking for new places where to sleep in the sun. #cat #palms So, the abusive palm in our garden is officially strong enough to hold our cat on its leaves (the cat is much fattier than how he looks in picture, 6 kg measured few days ago)

Just a few pictures from the nice spring day we had a couple of days ago with 6'C sun. Nice with some green colors! Still a very solid snow cover though, albeit very thin. Official figure was 4cm 7am that morning, but that was on the huge fields south of the river with much greater exposure to wind. Wet field Wet river

Here's one photo supplémentaire. Prolly my second to last evening commute. You can notice the spots where grass has been mowed now. Spring strong!

Winter returned. Got more powder. Went here today for some cross country, 15 min drive east of the city (200 m ASL).

Oh fuck yes. Finally got my new Samsung S10! Battery life is shit, but man is the camera good. With Lightroom I can even take RAW HDR images which is a god's send. This camera is so much better than my DSLR. And the ultra wide angle lens is so nice to have as well. The old smartphone's camera had definitely seen better days. The upgrade was welcome. Big turd in the woods. When I was little my parents told me this was a putrified dinosaur poop. I kinda believed them but it was hard to believe it wasn't made of metal because it felt soo much like metal. Soo nice being able to actually shoot against the sun, or in harsh conditions in general, and not have the scratched ass lens ruin the entire picture. Also nice having some actual dynamic range! I'm so happy to finally be able to take beautiful pictures again! Flowers have started sprouting in south facing flowerbeds now. tHeY aReN't EvEn AgAiNsT tHe WaLl!!¡

Pic from my last evening commute on Friday evening Took a last bike ride on Sunday, about 40 km. Lots of people out and about in the local park not respecting the 1-meter rule. Rediculous. The Parisian trachys are as healthy as ever Neat rowhouses. They don't see the sun much in winter though. Next time I see a tree-lined street, it'll be all green. Gee the Seine is high! The day before, the plant was literally blowing smoke onto the U/C building. 'tis the landscape 5 km upstream from Notre Dame. Chinese-style confluence Subway bridge. Gee the Marne is running high too. Loads of cranes Won't be long before this building is destroyed The 1-meter rule, for God's sake! Triumphal archs in a shitty suburb Daffodils still out! Strange buildings Gee if I had this kind of cycling infrastructure between home and work, I wouldn't bother with the bus. First day since the restaurant closure. Fine French dining there. Drive-thrus were still open though. Can get mah chicken wings! Already less people on the road than ususal The Marne started to burst its banks a little upstream Neat evening light
