That 5km upstream from Notre Dame pic looks like it could be some random Midwestern US city.

First day since the restaurant closure. Fine French dining there. I'm surprised it still says "Home of the Whopper" there, and not whatever the French translation would be. (Would it be "chez Whopper" or something?)

23°C at 3pm, still warming. Short depressing story: That's the weather since Sunday. On Saturday night all non-essential stores closed and we were strongly suggested to do not exit, from Monday I'm working from home and from Tuesday at noon we are almost completely stuck at home.

(Would it be "chez Whopper" or something?) I guess it would be something in the lines of "La maison du Whopper". A lot of international mottos aren't translated at all. For example Kia's "The power to surprise".

Yesterday had some shitty aurora. I had to walk home from the gym because my bike has a flat tire. Took the opportunity to test the night mode on my new camera. Turned out alright.

Big album today. Lots of ice still Some neat patterns Nice bench I think this tree might be River as seen from the tree Entering the forest Such loud singing from birds Two bridges across the creek Guess which one I took Some shots of the river and its ice/water I'm going fishing with my friend tomorrow so I was scouting for a good location. Not quite a good spot here. Nor here Found a football though And eventually I found an okay fiahing spot. Don't know if the fish are very active at this time of the year though... Then I headed across the river to hunt for snow free fields. This hay color has got to be one of my favorite colors. So aesthetic Then I entered another woods. Telephoto: Ultrawide: No idea what this tower is. Whatever it wad, it's closed down now.

I'll take it a bit easier with the photos from today and only show a few of them. I've long joked around about there being so much ice on the fields that you could skate. Well, the mad lads did it! My friend and I thought it'd be nice to go fishing in the river now that it's spring and the weather is nice. Fishing spot #1: This guy decided to take a swim, the mad lad We didn't have much luck, so we went to the other side to see if we'd have better luck there. We didn't. We only managed to get cold because we were in the shade now. So we started heading back. Instead of going all the way back to the bridge we thought maybe we could cut it across the frozen part of the river. My friend was really hesitant at first so I went in front and we had giant sticks in case we fell in the water. We soon realized the ice was at least a couple of decimeters thick, and it was so nice in the middle of the river in the sunlight so we sat down and had a couple cups of coffee This image is really weird. For some reason the cup doesn't seem to have a shadow, and it almost looks like it's floating in the air.

Today, in the municipality, the most inland part of the municipality (320 m /1000 ft ASL). Clear and maybe 3-4C up here.
This is close to the place in my post in the snow thread with the most snow depth.
Can be hard to tell what's under the snow: Lake or a bog?

Staying away from other people, and managing to take spring pictures showing nothing spring-like.

Went for a 5 mile hike on Sunday in a local park. Was sunny and in the mid 40s, nicest day I've been able to enjoy outside. Still waiting on buds on the trees.

Short album today. We were forecast clouds all day, but literally just after I finished work, the sun came out, which meant I could walk my three kilometers home in 6'C sun. Also barely any wind. Was really nice. The local hockey arena was a bit wet today.
