Whoa seems like Australia is constantly below average since the heat and bushfires in December(?)... If I use mean temps, January was average and every other month has been below average. So yeah, could use a heatwave of some sort but a La Nina is approaching... |

The last two days both had the exact same high, 35.3C. The 17th was slightly warmer overall with a low of 12.3C, versus a low of 10.1C yesterday. This makes these two days the hottest of the year and it's very doubtful we'll top that again this year. We only get those kinds of diurnal ranges with anomalous warmth in April or May. But I feel like your climate is sort of like my climate but with spring coming two months later and fall coming two months earlier.
It looks like this August will be the eighth consecutive summer month here with below normal average temperatures. Dewpoints have dropped below 60F/15.5C the past few days, which is very nice, after weeks of near-constant dews in the 70s.

We had a nice afternoon thunderstorm today. It had lots of loud thunder and some lightning but only a trace of rain was recorded.
So far the average high this month is +5.8 f and on pace to be the warmest on record for August...however the average low is currently 0.9 f below average. Thatβs definitely not possible in Rochester...exceptional anywhere though!

Similar to Vancouver's airport Record high: 29.3C Average high: 23.3C Average low: 14.1C Record low: 10.7C But we have had 2 thunderstorm days, with tomorrow a very likely 3rd addition.  |

Yesterday marked our 4th consecutive day with a high at or above 32C, pretty nice! Now it's back to much more seasonal weather with a high of only 23C today, slightly below average.
Today also marks the first day of the season where the average low drops below 10C again, our first such day since June 19th. Interestingly, we have an average low of 10.0C or higher for exactly two months, June 20th to August 20th.

Today felt very humid and sticky here in Aachen, this is the first time since my Philippines trip that the weather reminded me of Manila.
Temperature was about 29 Β°C when a handsome warm rain set in and cooled down only 3 degrees.

Nice heavy hail shower yesterday arvo. Even had a roll of thunder. That makes 2 thunder days for Poorgust.
No excitement yet today despite the BUM's forecast. Just some wind
11.7C / partly cloudy @ tree pm. Radar is looking gay, don't think we'll get any mad downpours. The 5 minutes of fun yesterday was it.
Fun Fact, 7.6C in Melbourne right now at 3:30pm and 5.6C in Canberra.

Today underperformed, but still reached 93 (34 c), the 6th straight 90+ day.
It was pretty smoky with the mountains being barely visible. The sun was bright red at sunset and even the moon was reddish.
Upper 90s are forecast through Wednesday so thereβs a good chance the average high is the warmest on record.

Apparently there's a risk of severe thunderstorms this afternoon. That's very late in the season, it's highly unusual to have that sort of weather past late July.
