August is turning to be quite warm. We hit 35C yesterday which is our hottest temperature of the year and so far have an average high of 27C for the month, with a couple more days above 30C in the forecast this week. After that it's cooling back down to more seasonal (and slightly below) temperatures which will drag the average down a bit, but still, quite the contrast after our super mild July.

Gรถteborg had its warmest day of the year yesterday. Unusually late. Has Gothenburg really not been warmer than that yet? Edit: They reached 30.8'C in June so it wasn't warmer by much haha

The last two days both had the exact same high, 35.3C. The 17th was slightly warmer overall with a low of 12.3C, versus a low of 10.1C yesterday. This makes these two days the hottest of the year and it's very doubtful we'll top that again this year.

Yesterday had a high of 98 (36.7 c). It was overcast or mostly cloudy much of the day yet with dews in the 40s which felt very strange. Hot, dry and cloudy is impossible in Rochester.

Dews in the 40s in midsummer during the day are rare here, and temperatures in the high 90s are almost always accompanied with full sunshine or only a few clouds at most as well. Also, congrats on your move from Shitchester!

Slightly cooler today, only getting to 91 (33 c).
A light shower passed through in the afternoon, followed a little later by a heavier one. The total rain was only 0.06โ (1.5 mm) though.
During the rain, the dew got up to 62 (17 c), the warmest itโs been while Iโve been here.

Wow this POORGUST is running an outrageous 1.9C below avg for highs. Boring partly cloudy stratocrapulus every day. Jesus Christ. Lows are mysteriously 0.2C above avg somehow.
Whew, fucken gay alright, just like every other month of 2020.
Forecast is a piece of shit. Make your way to the forecast thread in order to feel sorry for me.

Whoa seems like Australia is constantly below average since the heat and bushfires in December(?)... Not in NSW (i.e. where the fires occured). July was the warmest and driest since at least 1993 here in the South West of the state, for instance. Even the "below average" months like April were only ~ 1ยฐ C below.
