Some severe storms in Calgary hit yesterday

A massive thunderstorm rolled through Calgary yesterday and dropped 54mm (2.1") of rain on the city along with tennis ball-sized hail. There was lots of localized flooding and the hail destroyed many vehicles as well as the siding of houses. This was one of the most destructive storms in recent memory over there.

6/10: High 94, hottest June temp since 2001, T-daily record high 6/14: Low 41, lowest June temp since 2009, T-daily record low
And in a few days itโll be back to high 80s. Very bipolar for June, which is usually pretty stable.
Today is quite dry too with dews in the mid 30s, although not a daily record like yesterday.

Another video from Calgary. Looks like snow is mixing in with the hail possibly.
Calgary is the hailstorm capital of Canada and it happens every June but...not like this.

Foehn effect in full blast today over Southern NSW:
Cooma Airport (930 m) sitting on 12ยฐ C, whereas Albury Airport (164 m) is only sitting on 10ยฐ C. Near midday.
I'm at a similar elevation to Cooma Airport (948 m), but it's only 5ยฐ C here.

Forecast high is 67F/19.5C tomorrow and 69F/20.5C Tuesday. Those would be some of the coldest highs I've ever experienced in June here, and the coldest so late in the month (excepting 1999 when I was a baby).

I don't know what their June records are, but both Steinkjer and Kronoby are looking like they'll smash them. Kronoby doesn't have as amazing of a forecast, but they've already averaged a high of over 21.5'C Umeรฅ might break records I guess, but it's not quite a sure thing.

At the beach with some friends. The lake is really warm, and surprisingly it wasn't just warm at the surface. Definitely at least 20'C even half a meter below the surface

After a hot, dry week that came within 0.3 C of breaking the record high for June, we had a lot of rain overnight (over 40 mm in some areas) followed by a mild, cloudy day:

It was only 60F/15.5C as of the 13:51 update at RDU. That's gotta be one of the coldest temperatures ever recorded at that hour at this time of year.

More humid and more convective activity than was expected the beginning of this week so far. Isolated t-storms in the area today (I got 0.03" of rain). High today was 92F and dewpoint got up to 75F this evening. Tomorrow might be similar to today.

Is this normal? Seems fucking freezing for Johannesburg. Owing to the high elevation and the cold front, they shouldn't be too far away from snow either.
