High of 61°F/16°C so far today at RDU! Greensboro has a high of just 58°F/14.5°C!
If these hold, they would both be record low maxes for the date and the coldest highs between now and late August.

Winnipeg's got a good heat wave going on at the moment, with a forecast low of 23C tonight followed by a forecast high of 33C tomorrow.
I'm in Regina for a few days and we have mostly cool rainy weather coming up though still slightly warmer than Saskatoon.

My rage-o-meter is at its maximum. Not only have we been trolled by showers for days, now we got huge rain bands to the north and east to add to the comicly bad situation. This ULL can fuck off if we can't get any rain from it.

Last 5 days:
59/45, sunny, dews in the low 30s 66/41, sunny, dews in the 30s 70/43, sunny, dews in the 30s 77/46, sunny, dews in the 40s 82/50, sunny, dews in the high 40s
Amazingly pleasant stretch of weather. This long a streak of low humidity, sunshine and high diurnals is rare for June.
Very dry start to June, just 2 of 17 days have had precipitation and the deficit is a little over 1” below normal. I usually like June to be one of the wetter months but I’ll take a dry month when I can get it.

High was 86 (30 c) today before it clouded over for the first time since last Friday.
Many lawns, including mine, are starting to turn yellowish from recent dryness. Unusual for this early in the season.
With today, the month is averaging 76.3/53.1 f. That’s above average highs, below average lows, well above average diurnal range.

Moosonee, Ontario got snow on June 12th and then hit a high of 34C (and low of 18C) on June 17th. That's gotta be one of the shortest intervals between snow and 30+ Celsius weather that I've ever seen.

Wish temperature maps wouldn't stop at the US-Canada border

found a map that includes Canada; the 90°F+ traces out river valleys (and Lake Champlain, which has mountains on both sides so probably gets some topographic warming). Even Nova Scotia is getting above 90°F+! must be rare 🖕🏿Mörön🖕🏿 ; doubt it's reaching PEI

Jesus, that's hella impressive for eastern canada. 37c in Sept-Iles?! That's one of the most insane temperatures I've ever seen. How many Standard Deviations away from average is that?
Moncton New Brunswick had a 36c high, 14c above average. If NYC had that sort of anomaly today, it'd have a 41c high

Norman, OK went from 32C on April 8 to snow on April 13, which is also a five day gap, but with a slightly cooler starting point. Also I saw that Norman will be getting their first rain of the month, which is odd, considering June is the wettest month of the year.

it's been dry since early May here. Feels a bit like 2016. Wish temperature maps wouldn't stop at the US-Canada border May was very dry here too until a big rainstorm on the 29th, still about an inch below normal. I said that in the shoutbox awhile ago about 2016...the pattern since March has been very similar. If it continued that would mean a great summer. Impressive heat in northern Maine/Canada. I’m glad the heat is mostly staying up there so now I’m not jealous.

They really get the short end of the stick over there. Wow, that is...depressing. I guess that is the reality of being farther east than parts of Greenland and being exposed to those cold waters on an exposed peninsula of an exposed island. It's also foggy there. No thanks!
