August was average and drier than normal, and very stable until the last week, with the final 5 days being very autumnal. July was the coolest summer month, which was the first time since 1979. Extremely boring month, so I can't rate it too highly.
Record high: 27.1C (9th) Highest low: 18.4C (22nd) Lowest high: 16.4C (31st) Record low: 6.4C (28th)
Deviations from 91-19:
High: +1.2C Mean: +0.4C Low: -0.5C Prec: 22%
Days with thunder: 1

August 2020 Summary Slightly below average in temperature, with average precipitation—much unlike July. There was a fairly strong cold front in the latter half of the month, giving me 33 cm of snowfall between the 21st and 23rd. As usual, variability was significantly greater than the other two winter months. Anomalies (BoM Obs)Mean Maximum = 7.9° C (–1.0° C) Mean Minimum = 2.1° C (–0.4° C) Precipitation = 145.8 mm (+8.7 mm) ^BoM Obs not complete, but the WZ figures are already calculated (hence the 7.9° C max on my wikibox).

Wow what a difference between Seoul and Tokyo. While both are shit I think Seoul got the even shorter end of the stick here. At least Tokyo had some sun to redeem it, there is nothing worthwhile about Seoul’s August

Steelernation It'd be a good idea to use a separate wikibox for Collins, as opposed to combining locations.

It's actually been the first summer on record to get above 28C in all three months (2019 narrowly missed out), but it's also only the second summer on record to be below 150 sun hours and above 100 mm of rain in all three months as well.

Speagles84's 2020 August Summary - Spring Church, PA
Warm, Dry - ending super wet. I received 6.0" of rain the last 4 days of August, making the total make it look extremely wet although the majority of the month was very dry. Very warm for the most part, although the last few days of August were quite cool and early fall-like.

Haven't done one in a while, Ive been amazed by Hatteras! Its been almost 2 years since they had a month avg highs under 60. The last month to do so was January 2019. They had a rather dry July-August this year! Look at those lows, it takes Miami+ UHI to get those kinds of lows yet Hatteras did it with 0 UHI.

For some reason the Mesonet graph says we hit 90ºF, while NOAA has the absolute max as 89ºF. If the latter is correct, then it was the first time in my life to not experience 90ºF in August. The last time it happened in Lexington was 2004, when I still lived in West Virginia. Average High: 83.8ºF (-1.8ºF) | 28.8ºC (-1.0ºC) Average Low: 64.5ºF (-0.5ºF) | 18.1ºC (-0.3ºC) Mean Temp: 74.1ºF (-1.2ºF) | 23.4ºC (-0.7ºC) Precipitation: 3.57" | 91 mm (110% of normal)
