Warmest August in Göteborg since 2006. It also recorded the highest average temperature in Sweden this August. Much drier and sunnier than normal as well.

Lol that much better August than in Turku? Strewth! You probably didn't get the cold snap late in the month. The last 6 days drew down the monthly mean by 1C.

The last 6 days dragged the mean down by 1'C or more in most of southern Sweden. We just had a much more intense first 2/3 of the month. Lund was at a 21.5'C mean after the 22nd of August (4th missing). 27-29 are also missing though, so I can't say what the final mean was, but with the 4th and 27-29th missing, the month came out at 20.5'C

Cooler average high here than Turdku Precip data is missing for the first 17 days for Charlottetown, so it was likely quite a bit wetter. Anyway, Cuck Vancouver v. Chad Charlottetown

Steelernation It'd be a good idea to use a separate wikibox for Collins, as opposed to combining locations. I wasn’t here until mid August so I’m not gonna do Fort Collins for Jan-July since I wasn’t here. I could have made August FC only but it was easy enough to do a combination that’s what I actually experienced.

August turned out to be quite warm for the most part, except the very end. Up until the 25th or so we had an average high of 28C, and we ended up with seven days reaching 30C, five of them exceeding 32C, and one warm spell where 5 out of 6 days were above 30C. This all came to a crashing end near the end of the month, though, as we ended up with several cooler days including the last two days which were basically early October weather and dragged the averages down a bit. It was also a very dry month with about half of the little precipitation we got coming down in just two stormy days. Sunshine will probably end up being above average. Average high: 26.8C (normal: 24.9C) Average low: 9.3C (normal: 10.3C) Mean temperature: 18.0C (normal: 17.6C) Warmest high: 35.3C (Aug 17th and 18th) Warmest low: 16.5C (Aug 3rd) Coldest high: 15.3C (Aug 30th) Coldest low: 3.1C (Aug 31st) Precipitation total: 16.2mm (normal: 42.6mm) Precipitation days: 9 (normal: 8)

London, Göteborg, and Charlottetown had similar temps this month, all close to my ideal. The worst so far is Phoenix but Seoul is close.
Warm and wet month. The rainfall was localized and mostly came on two days so parts of the area are below normal. Only five days recorded 1mm (0.04"), all of those were part of thunderstorms. The heaviest rain missed me so it felt normal or even a bit dry. Officially the third wettest August on record (normal is 4"). Temps were +2.7F (+1.5C). Daily data: Heavy rainfall on the 2nd and 25th. 4.79" on the 2nd, 2.14" on the 25th (122 and 54mm).
I made a post about the rain on the 2nd here. A thunderstorm stalled over the southeast metro area for a few hours. One station reported 2.56 inches/65.0mm in 30 minutes! cdweather.boards.net/post/133941/threadMonthly rainfall for the area. South of Milwaukee got much more rain than west or north. Part of Madison looks below 1" while less than an hour drive north it was over 10". Higher variation than normal.

I have spent the first half of the month at home, which was also the much better half. The second half was already autumnesque though overall a warm, rather cloudy and wet month.

The oceanic climates of Scandinavia are just gross, no offense. I'd much prefer Umea. Yeah, this is not the place to be for interesting weather, but even by Gothenburgish standards this year has been boring. No winter at all. Btw, given your liking for saskatoons year so far, would you prefer the airports averages over the citys so far if we assume that the precipitation and sunshine were the same?

August on African Rock was above average, with around average sunshine & no rainfall. Despite Luqa averaging 12.8mm of rain in August it isn't unusual for the month to be completely dry, 6 of the last 10 have recorded no rainfall. Stats from my PWS in St. Paul's Bay: Av.Mx 33.2C (+0.7C) Av.Mn 26.9C (+1.9C) Mean 30.1C (+1.3C) Highest Max 36.2C (1st) Lowest Min 25.4C (10th) Lowest Max 29.6C (5th) Highest Min 28.8C (2nd) Rainfall: 0.0mm Sunshine*: 355.0hrs (98%) *Data from Luqa Max UV 10.4 (14th) Min UV 8.7 (31st) Have attached a map to show my location & where the Met Office weather stations that I have data for are located

Still not what I want, but better than the city for me.
I really like the more northerly Scandinavian/Finnish Climates like Oulu, Umea, etc. Subarctic, but not frigid subarctic.
