Lol even during a record warm January in your dream climate, and a record cold January in mine, your average highs are still colder than my average lows Your record cold January is like an average May/June in my dream climate. Ummm...what? Your average June has 13C highs? ;p

To give you guys an idea, Winter Haven averaged 0/-16 last January and 22/3 the previous January, so Januaries can vary from Minneapolis-like to colder than Oymyakon lol

170 years? Do you enter daily data for each year for min, max, rain and weather occurrences? Would be interesting to see how you make your climate averages. Yep, and I did the first 80 years or so handwritten lol. This is something I've been working on though for like nine years, so it's not as shocking as you might think. For like 2009-2010, I would do like 2-3 months of data a day until I caught up with the year. I really had no life back in those days, I'm glad I caught up to the year because I would have no time to do this shit nowadays lol. I think 2009 was when I started making daily climate spreadsheets, I'm only doing 30 years for each city though, but initially wanted to do 30 years for each city in New Florida. It's hard because I have to work out the what the climate would be like as realistically as possible. Also it's taking forever. Only one of 30 cities so far has complete temp and rain data. But it's not like I want to be doing it all the time lol. I just realised that 30 years for each city would mean 900 years! Holy shit.

Yeah, 30 years for 30 cities is a lot more work than 170 years for one city. To be honest, I mostly just extrapolate data from Winter Haven itself to work out the climate normals for the surrounding cities and suburbs. Northerly, more elevated suburbs follow the same pattern, just a bit cooler and vice versa for more southerly suburbs. There's a good deal more cities on the fictional continent Winter Haven is located on, even some tropical ones and some subarctic/arctic ones, so I have to get working on those lol. This takes up a lot of time though!

Takes a lot of time putting everything together and I have to be in the right mood lol.

Yes, I would have to take a couple of weeks to visit Winter Haven to satisfy my cold/snow needs. I think St. Edward's would be very frustrating to both warm and cold weather fans with bouts of mild and wet weather in the winter and long-drawn out cool conditions in spring along with unreliable summers.
