SYNOPSIS: No change in the overall weather pattern since last weekend, with generally sunny skies, and dew points in the low to mid 50s, with a surface ridge remaining to the southeast. Highs today will be in the upper 90s to lower 100s inland. Tonight will be clear and warm again. Lows will be mainly in the lower 70s, with dews into the 60s. && .LONG TERM /FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/... Pattern remains the same for the long term with ridging in place keeping temperatures warm and nonexistent PoPs into the weekend. On Saturday, a weak low develops to the northwest and begins to push a cold front towards the area. While models are not in agreement on how quickly this low will strengthen, the feature in combination with the surface high offshore will begin to strengthen the pressure gradient over the area and will begin to increase moisture advection. By Sunday night, we begin to see slight PoPs to the west, and this will translate southeastward into early next week as the front continues to gradually sag southwards. Highs will be cooler to start the week, dropping into the upper 80s to lower 90s on Tuesday before a gradual warmup back towards the upper 90s late week. Lows through the period in the lower 70s early on with mid/upper 60s next week.

SYNOPSIS: Highs today have been in the mid to upper 90s today, despite high clouds moving over the area today as a secondary cold front approaches from the northwest, with high pressure building in from the northwest behind it. .LONG TERM /THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY/... Secondary weak cold front is expected to cross the region tonight with high pressure building in from the northwest behind it. As is typical for summertime fronts, the cold front will do little to nudge down temperatures; the result is a typical summertime pattern, with highs remainining in the mid to upper 90s later this week. Southerly flow is forecast to develop Sunday into early next week which will result in an increase in temperatures with highs inland reaching the upper 90s, and into the lower 100s F.

Synopsis - High pressure ridge over us shifts and positions itself to the south putting us in the anticyclonic flow. Wind shifts to southwesterly and temperatures climb as a result. Expect the second major heatwave of the summer, this one also more humid than the first. Dew points should be in the 67-72 range, so an excessive heat warning has been issued for July 25, the only day with triple digit temps and heat indices around 110 forecast. Cold front comes thru late that day as well, and with higher dew points and precipitable water values, dry lightning and fire wx won't be a concern this time, as .2"-.25" of rain is forecast to fall with the storms. Slight risk for severe wx issued for most areas, with elevated risk inland. Mostly a wind event but with the airmass behind the front being much cooler and steep lapse rates, there is a hail risk for the elevated areas, specifically areas above 3,000ftasl. Behind the front cool, dry, and pleasant.

A cold and snowy stretch will come to an end as a high pressure system moves in. The rest of the week is looking to be calm and settled, apart from some frontal rain on Wednesday.
