Haha well you'll see what the final averages are soon enough. It is a lot cooler for sure. Yeah you won't like it. Please tell me it'll at least still have mild summers... To be honest over the years heat has lost a bit of its luster for me as well. I dunno if I've shared with you my old 2004 dream climate but it was ridiculous, average high of 32 C in the "winter". Along the same lines as Steeler said in the other thread, if I lived in a place with an average high of 35 C, then there wouldn't be much particularly notable about a particular 35 C day - it would be warm enough to be uncomfortable, but there would be nothing distinguishable about it. So really it would be best for me to have most days be a pretty consistent 30-33 C, warm enough to avoid the chance of what I consider crummer weather - and then just enough 1-2 day heat spikes bringing enough heat to make 32-33 C the average.

Overall I'd find them quite comfortable with a nice mix of storms and sun.
Your original dream climates had temps a bit like one of mine, an original climate with an awful ridiculous mean temp over 30ยฐC. Yuck. My preferences have certainly changed a lot more though!

Yeah I'm certain middle school me would have loved that initial version of Stolton City - and the part of me that's still a kid and that gets nostalgic about stuff easily still had an "awesome! " reaction to it - but that's just too much heat! Now I'd say my favorite climates are no longer of the "very hottest of the tropics" variety, more like the warmer reaches of the subtropical zone; you still won't catch me putting snow or subfreezing temps in any of my dream climates anytime soon though. 24/13 C, crisp mornings and mild afternoons, kinda like June or September around here; that's how I'd like my winter now. Part of me wonders what the record temps in that climate would be like. All-time record low to the tune of 16 C, record high 44 C I'm guessing?

Synopsis: A significant upper trough will dig southwards to the west today, while high pressure to the east remains in control of the sensible weather today. Soundings continue to show considerable subsidence aloft and dry low levels, although water vapor imagery shows a pool of deeper moisture slowly moving into the area. Only high cirrus, patchy at best during the day, streaming northeastwards should thicken during the night along with increasing low, and mid-level moisture as a surface low approaches from the southwest. Highs today will build into the upper 90s inland, with dew points in the lower-mid 50s (i.e. heat indices around 95-98ยฐF). Clouds will continue to increase from south to north tomorrow as aforementioned cutoff low lifts northeast towards the area. Moisture will also increase during the day, with PWATs increasing to about 1.4-1.6 inches by Thursday afternoon with the tropical airmass in place. Rain chances continue an increasing trend after 12Z tomorrow; clouds, precip, and southerly winds will lead to a warm but humid day, with highs in the lower 90s with dews in the mid 60s to the lower 70s. Helicity values will build ahead and to the right of the track, so severe weather cannot be ruled out, and heaviest rain totals will be interior zones closer to the cyclone track. Most widespread rain/T-storms will move in in the evening, and then move away after midnight as the system quickly races off to the northeast. Hot and dry conditions will build back into the region by the weekend, with subsidence occurring behind the low, and as broad upper ridging builds to the east, and aforementioned troughing to the west retreats. Hot and dry weather, with highs in the lower 100s F, and lows in the 70s.

Synopsis: High pressure positioned out over the ocean due east will put the forecast area in a marine southeasterly flow until a cold front passes thru. With ocean temperatures around 76-79 now, the potential for marine layer cloudiness and fog will be minimal, so temperatures should stay slightly below to around normal despite the marine-based flow. Cold front approaches late this weekend, with some isolated thunderstorms and downsloping flow which should get most areas to 90s. Have a slight risk for severe on Sunday, and hail should be the biggest threat, with rain amounts generally under .25โ due to the quick and localised nature of the cells. Next week ridging builds back, with more of a southerly flow.

Part of me wonders what the record temps in that climate would be like. All-time record low to the tune of 16 C, record high 44 C I'm guessing? For that awful original Stolton City the records would have been about 21ยฐC and 38ยฐC. A narrow range of temps with all that humidity and the monsoon season.
