Synopsis: A weak shortwave passing overhead will bring some cirrus coverage through the through tonight, and into Monday. High pressure dominates, with light synoptic winds and highs in the mid to upper 80s F for most of the area, with onshore flow likely, especially Monday afternoon, and while dry low level air and subsidence aloft will suppress any rain chances, high-resolution guidance indicates that there will likely be enough mid-level moisture to allow mid-level clouds to form Monday night. Dry conditions will dominate through the long term with temps near climo through mid week warming to above normal late in the week. Upper ridging should aloft Wednesday through the end of the week with surface high pressure centered across the area bringing dry conditions and a warming trend. High temps inland will be in the upper 80s to near 90ยฐF; mid week with lower-mid 90s by Friday and upper 90s to lower 100s next weekend.

Synopsis: The week starts out with a marine-based flow with mixed clouds and sun. Cannot rule out the potential for a spotty thunderstorm or two coming off of the mountains, though the convection should be suppressed along the immediate coast. High pressure takes over through the week and a land-based flow develops, with downsloping winds, the first 90s of the summer should be in the cards. We could catch the southernmost part of a cold front which, if CAPE values permit, should bring at least a slight risk for severe weather into the forecast area.

Synopsis: High pressure will continue over the area through tonight producing clear skies and continued dry weather. Northeasterly flow will prevail over the region and produce slightly cooler high temps in the mid to upper 80s F today. Stacked high pressure slowly migrates southwestward this weekend, with low level flow shifting to SW/W. Adiabatic heating will allow temps inland to reach the upper 90s to around 100ยฐF Saturday with mid 80s along the coast. Stronger SW winds Sunday will allow for widespread low 100s F for the area. Latest guidance shows signals a sea breeze to kick in Monday afternoon, with winds from the NE. Cooler temperatures are expected with highs in the low to upper 90s F for the area. High pressure will then build in to the east Tuesday and Wednesday, allowing for a robust SW flow to develop, with model guidance calling for temps reaching as high as 105ยฐF in inland areas Thursday.
