Metz had about average sunshine that year which was 1605h. I'd have preferred La Rochelle that year. 2100h, similar summer, warmer winter, drier. Then there's Porto which had an LA year. It seems they only got 2100h that year though Porto Santo where the link went to is the other island of Madeira en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porto_Santo_Island#ClimatePorto could never have an 19C avg high in January, it's impossible due to northerlies!

1987...the year in modern history Siberia moved to southern Norway & Scandinavia in winter ...and Greenland moved in for the summer 25 precip days in June... here's spinkabo, at the south swedish highlands (300masl), 57.5N, the same year.

Embrun 2011. Tailor-made year for me. Warmer than average winters, incredibly warm shoulder-seasons (April's average high was 5.8'C above average!). Cooler July (although sadly August was a degree above average, the only fault with the year). Apart from August, an incredible plateau of a summer. Also, 2800h of sunshine! Also, October managed to get 252h at 45'N!

Umeå Airport in 2006 - with a record warm August and March being the coldest month at a whooping -8.2°C Do you remember that year Babu and what do you make of it relative to a normal year up there? January sunshine is a guesstimation based on how close Luleå was to the average, since Umeå lacked a number. It was nearly identical to the normal in Luleå, so should be pretty close to 31 hours at least.

In your dear Poland, Szczecin (NW part, 53N, not far from that place Kronan linked to lol) a summer like no other was recorded in 2016! It's gonna take a bunch of global warming for Scandinavia to ever touch these Mays and Septembers Babu Also, check that summer flatness out! OMG! Unfortunately the sun data was too sparse in some months to be of any use.

If Moscow could get this sort of climate my family would've probably stayed there

Warmest Sep mean: 16.3C at Stavanger Airport Sola.

Oxelösund's former naval area weather station in 1997: this one was bloody hard work going through Open Data manually like Kronan does but yeah, it was worth it because of those seven consecutive tropical nights in late August + a tropical night as late as Sep 2 at 58N when the peak sun angle is as low as 39.1° Also a full week of consecutive frosts in late October, merely two months after those tropical bursts. Insane shifts. What do you think Babu?

arvika had its coldest year ever, and also the largest negative temperature deviation in sweden (and possibly the world) in 2010. previous lowest annual mean was 3.2C in 1985, and 1961-1990 average was 4.7C. compare to the 2002-2015 average: my favourite swedish climate the same year.

Odd that Arvika is colder in May than September. Normally only the coastal and oceanic climates in Sweden are that.
