Örebro in 1987, the most F year I think was ever recorded during the 20th century at a place where I ever lived... subarctic, freezing, rainy cool summer Since there's no "snow depth" thing on Wikipedia I just "snow cm" to denote snow depth. Peaking at 41 cm, which was lower than I thought.

kvitøya island in NE svalbard. coldest weather station on norwegian territory. an extremly nasty type of polar climate. the summers give me ostrov vize vibes. e.g 2014 this year so far.

this might be the lowest annual temperature in a scandinavian town. the coldest year i could find in scandinavia if you'd include high-altitude stations

One of the coldest month ever recorded in January & the wettest daily precipitation recorded in the same year.

Tokyo and Hong Kong in the same year. Looks like January was below average in all these places, though Seoul noticeably colder than the other two.

And Sydney, because why not? It was good until December. No humidity data though.

2011 here was weird as hell. Unusually high precipitation coupled with unusually low precipitation days. Overall it was colder and cloudier too, I mean look at that May lol. Record cloudiest month ever (May), lowest December minimum ever and lowest average maximum for May on record as well.

Tampere 2011: Extremely cold winter, then a seasonal lead in highs during the warm season, and finally a very mild autumn. December 13.6C warmer than February with a record low warmer than the Feb avg high.

Stockholm 1975 - remarkable summer with two months averaging around 20°C means (merely one is a stretch) and an all-time heat record.

Here are a few for London that I found on c-d. Couldn't find 1989 which was another good year, or 1986 which would comfortably be the worst. 1976 - warmest/driest summer on record 1995 -hottest August on record 2003 - sunniest year/London's highest temperature recorded 2010 - one of cloudiest years / cloudiest/coldest December on record

It is a lake, which has given name to a mountain lodge (fjellstue) and the nearby meteorological station. A few houses there so might pass as a tiny village.

Also 1976 seems to be very dry in the first 8 months and then receives all of its rainfall at the end of the year.

Looking at those three years in London, June 2016 sticks out as particularly bad wrt sun.
Was May 1989 the sunniest May? Or close?
