@b87 I don’t suppose you have Portsmouth/Eastbourne’s sunniest months?

@b87 I don’t suppose you have Portsmouth/Eastbourne’s sunniest months? Eastbourne's sunniest month was July 1911, with 383.9 hrs. I'm not sure of the sunniest months, but here are a few years with sunny summers in Eastbourne. 1959: 2132.9 hrs 1976: 2101.7 hrs 1989: 2094.1 hrs 1990: 2105.4 hrs 1995: 2068.4 hrs 2003: 2161.5 hrs The sunniest year on the mainland UK was in 1990, with 2237 hrs at Bognor Regis. Jersey holds the record for the British Isles, with 2403.2 hrs in 2010.

Jersey would be the equivalent of a slightly dull year in some med locations and the others are comparable to locations people often think of sunny if you take into count measurement differences

Fornebu was the former Oslo Airport, much closer to Oslo than today's airport. Closed. Warm summer in 1997 and a sunny year, even if Nov-Dec were cloudy. Dec second cloudiest recorded.

London was. Eastbourne had 1908 hrs which was close to average. I'm guessing the usual suspects recorded around 2000.

The weather station is also closed. However, the fairly new Oslo-Bygdøy weather station is only 4 km away from Fornebu, and also at a low elevation, 15 m.

ålesund 1993. nothing good about this year at all. vittangi 1985 Very cold summer in 1993. As I mentioned in the avg annual max temp thread, Ona island - a little further N along the coast - had a year max of just 18c in one year. Vigra isn't really Ålesund though. Vigra airport is situated on an island off Ålesund. Ålesund itself has a little warmer highs in summer. And a very cold winter in 1985 in Northern Sweden. Almost as cold Jan as Jan 2003 in Karasjok.

The 2nd driest year in Finland reliably recorded. On 1st place is Inari Kyrönkylä 1941 when 120.1 mm was recorded, but I don't have any stats on that.

This is for Hiromant . Oh what moaning all year it would've been if he'd remember. Crappy winter, and when it's over, April is totally schizophrenic: After June a rainy summer and a boring autumn. But as it sometimes does, he got a gift for Christmas.

2008 was our only year (at least in the last 15 years) that was a C-year. Though there were two C's that year; Cfc. September was a whopping 8'C...
