Smithers in 1950. January is probably the coldest month on record there. Nice summer that year though. Here is Prince George in 1950. Considerably colder in January than Smithers was but it makes sense as the high pressure systems usually gravitate to PG: *Precip days are just copied from Smithers. Too tedious to do.

Here are our coldest, hottest, driest and wettest years: Hottest (2012): Driest (1966): Wettest** (1923): Coldest (1912): **โ1961 was actually the wettest year but it has no data for December 1966 is actually a BWk year, so thatโs 14 theoretically possible climate classifications. Tullamarine 2015. Summer was decent, February had some consistent heat with the temperature only dropping below 25C a handful of times. March and April were below average, and the rest was boring up until July which was the wettest month of the year, something that almost never happens. After a couple more lacklustre months, October hit, and along with December smashed heat records.

I can't remember if I've posted this one before on this forum. Weird year though. One of the hottest months ever combined with a pretty cool rest of year.

Coldest year on record @ Cabramurra (1964). July was profoundly snowy, and the #No.1 coldest by maxima (tied with Jul 1966, although 66 had a colder avg min of โ2.9ยฐ C). 1964 also set cold records for October and December.

That record high of 23.9C in September is the only dry day that month ahaha. Four days after it was 5.4/1.4 with 25mm of rain. Daily report for November More fun facts, It was actually heading for a pretty dry year in the jan-May period

Two years from our legendary old age climate of yore: 2000 and 2004 @ Hunters Hill. 2000 peaked very prominently in Feb RE heat, with a very cold and wet May (as well as variable). The daily obs for May 2000 indicate a monthly snowfall of approx. 83 cm (!): 40.0 mm from a โ2.1ยฐ / โ0.7ยฐ C event, and another 43.0 mm from a โ1.9ยฐ / 1.2ยฐ C event. The following winter was also consistently cold and wet, although snowfall wasn't nearly as extreme as that of the aforementioned May 2000 events. Spring was beautifully wet. 2004 yielded a classic summer lag. Again, winter was cold and wet, but with considerable variability in Augโranging from 1.8ยฐ C to 16.8ยฐ C by maxima. The late spring to early summer period saw some strikingly cold minima: 1.6ยฐ C in Nov and 1.4ยฐ C in Dec.

London in 1975. Still hope for this year that you can still have a nice summer even if the rest of the year is cooler and cloudier than average. Record temps are rounded.

A year which will never be matched. Coolest on record by mean temp. Not only did it feature the coolest January, February, October, and December on record, but it also had the hottest May, June, and August. That makes it the most "continental" year on record as well.

1999, one of the best years ever here, for its epic early summer drought.

Similar July to this year in that the heat was very consistent. I can only hope the rest of 2021 turns out similar to 1985. Exceptionally and unusually dry though besides September.

๐๐ฟMรถrรถn๐๐ฟ hereโs Fort Collins 1950: January wasnโt notable but the summer was quite cool. It had the T-lowest annual record high and the T-2nd fewest days >90.
