Hereβs 1995, the year with the most precipitation days. Similar to the year with the last precipitation days, it wasnβt even top 10 for wettest year but had a lot of light precipitation, especially in summer. May was tied for wettest ever.

Hereβs 1915 with an astonishingly cool summer. July and August were both the coldest on record and May, June, and September were top-10 coldest. Also the 4th wettest year.

Coldest year on record in Eureka, CA and the only year on record where Darwin Ranch, WY failed to reach at least one 10Β°C (50Β°F) monthly mean.

Well, there is a worse Eureka I can think of. π€ The one in Nunavut is more obviously bad, but the one in California would be just as mind-numbing and depressing.

Not sure about "past years", but this is Sydney's 1881-1910 normals. If the summers were like 40mm drier then Sydney would've been a rather distorted Mediterranean climate.

Sydney has warmed quite a bit. The yearly mean increased from 17.3Β°C to 18.8Β°C from those normals to the current 1991-2020 normals.

Here are 2017 and 2018 in Walsenburg. 2017: 2018: Both subpar years there, although April-August looks awesome in 2017.
