Steelernation wow yeah that summer is very cool. October sticks out to me as well; interesting month in that it seemed to be very stable with high diurnals and only 2 precip days.

October sticks out to me as well; interesting month in that it seemed to be very stable with high diurnals and only 2 precip days. Yeah it had the 3rd warmest average high but the average low was below average. The only precipitation was on the 1st and 2nd, the rest was very stable and warm.

Hereβs 2020 for this interesting place in SW Texas: Very hot but still pretty variable. Only 5 stations in Arizona and California have higher annual average highs despite being much more well known hotspots. Huge diurnals and decent variability though in contrast to the deserts farther west.

1998, the coldest year during the new normals in one of the coldest climates in Finland.
The record low in May is actually quite impressive, the 3rd mildest record low in history. June's record low was the coldest on record.

Hereβs 2009. The coolest and wettest year since 1997. Also 1 of 2 years with a sub-10 c mean since then.

1908 was an extraordinary year in South West NSW, comprising a seasonal range of 28.0Β° C (!) between January and June at Wagga Wagga (Kooringal): ranging from 38.6 to 10.6 Β°C in mean maxima, respectivelyβthe greatest seasonal range to have ever been measured in Australia, and quite possibly even the Southern Hemisphere altogether. The summer heat was entirely without relent until mid-April; and the latter half of June featured a profound stretch of cold maxima: 6.2, 6.7, 6.7, 5.4, 5.8, 7.8, 3.9 Β°C from the 23rdβ30th (then followed by 7.2, 9.0 Β°C in July). A particularly lengthy western cloudband, was most certainly the cause of such a prolonged and potent cold blast. Daily Obs - Maxima: Daily Obs - Minima:

This is so damned annoying. I can't share my screenshots here. My links won't translate to images when posted on here. Why is imgur so fucking hard to use?

Use ImgBB insteadβbecause I find that Imgur changes my colour scheme (less vibrant) and somewhat lowers image quality, so fuck them. It's also a much better website. After uploading, click on the image. Then you will see a page like this: Make sure you click that button I encircled with red, then simply copy and paste that image link into the [img.]https:url[/img.] format (without the full-stop/period signs of course).

Anchorage, Alaska had a very weak summer during 2008. Every month was below average except March. It also only reached 70Β°F twice.

2009 for Herman, Michigan was crazy. September had the highest average high and April was very snowy. The temperature drop from September to October is also wild. Extreme snow depth is actually just average snow depth.

June was the 4th snowiest month in Lead, South Dakota during 1951. April is usually the snowiest month of the year.

Hereβs 1974, the year with the fewest precipitation days ever. Doesnβt even crack the top 10 driest years but it had by far the fewest s precipitation days of any year. Also very little snow. May was the driest ever.
