Many new all-time highs in Northern Norway today. Maybe also in neighbouring countries?
Six stations in Norway inside the Arctic Circle with 33C+ recorded Northernmost is Alta (70 N) with 33C - new all-time high there (old 32.5C).
All the northernmost provinces with new July all-time highs. 33.5C at Bardufoss, new heat record for Troms province (old record 32.7C from in 2014). The 3.3C near Bardufoss is a weather station on Svalbard wrongly placed here.
Warmest 33.7C at Drag (E of Lofoten) not showing on the map, new July record for Nordland province (June record warmer) 33.3C in Finnmark (Pasvik station), new July high (June high warmer).
Bodø (airport) new record today with 30.4C, old record 29.1C, recordings since 1953).

Sunniest three-month periods on record in Bradford (since 1908)
1. May-July 2018, 736.1 hours (provisional) 2. June-August 1911, 710.7 hours 3. May-July 1949, 677.4 hours
May had 255.3 hours, June 234.0 hours and July 246.8 hours. Even as the dullest of the three June was still sunnier than any other month we've had since 2006!

Last week the Madison, WI area saw a huge amount of rain. If some of the totals are confirmed, it will be a state record for most rainfall in 24 hours. The previous record was 11.72" (298mm), but the highest unoffical report was 14.70" (373mm). The largest rain totals were to the west of the city, but there was still major flooding on the west side of Madison. If it was centered directly over Madison, a lot more of the city would be underwater. The storm spawned a small EF-0 tornado as well.
Flooding is still happening this week as the lake levels are very high and more rain is in the forecast.

In 2006, many stations had their warmest summer ever (until 2018 came along it seems). Following that summer, 7 out of 8 consecutive months became Sweden's warmest ever month for any location.
Yes, you read that right. September's record month is from 2006, October: 2006, November: 2006, December: 2006, January: 2007 and March: 2007 and April 2007 (but beatem 2011). Seriously. That's a fucking RIDICULOUS 8 month anomaly

Top 10 warmest temps today in Sweden. Asterisk means the previous record was broken. Very impressive for being halfway into October. Especially those near 22'C highs at 66°N some of which broke previous records by 5-6'C

New February records recorded yesterday for Blekinge County in south-east Sweden:
Karlshamn 15.2°C Ronneby 14.8°C Hanö 11.6°C (offshore island)
Interestingly enough, neither areas to its south-west (Scania) or north-east (Småland) bettered the records from what I found.

The British February record has gone again today with 20.8C in Porthmadog in North Wales - might be slightly higher in the end because that's just the 2 pm hourly temperature.

Absolutely smashed the old record! I guess the 19.8C was mid month but still.. very impressive
